Recently, my 07 2WD Crewmax with 295K miles began having a slight seizure with the parking lights.
When cranking over, it will sound like a rapid fire typewriter, (I figure relay clicking). Once running, it will intermittently with no pattern, flash on and off. After being shut down, it will do the same several times until the key is removed. Once the key is removed, it is silent / no flashing parking lights. If the light switch is turned on (parking or headlights) truck running or not, it doesn't happen.

It has also, about the same time learned a fun game it likes to play called randomly lock the doors when the keys are in the ignition and I am outside the truck. (running or not). I have gotten into the habit of rolling down the window before getting out of the truck if I am leaving the key in the ignition for whatever reason.

I replaced a perfectly good battery with another perfectly good battery within the last 2 months while firing the parts cannon at a no-crank issue. (Now solved) So, low battery amperage isn't an issue. The only known fault I have is a bad driver door jamb actuator switch.

    Any takers?

Electrical Russian Roulette??? Will it lock me out today, or next week??? Probably ground, maybe the switch itself, but I'd check all grounds and wiring. In the electrical section on this site can show you

No, not a roulette... More a game of wits. It WILL lock me out if I forget for a moment and shut the door. Like it is just waiting for me to step out. If I am inside the truck, it won't do it. Terribly bad relationship... "but I love her." lol
