Assuming you aren't already FFV ( can't recall) I wonder if a FFV FPR would bump just enough to keep in 10's. Is the Injector DC hitting 100?

Not saying the 650s aren’t also maxed, but I bet it wouldn’t matter since I don’t think the magnuson provided pump is up for meeting the capacity of 650s even at the base 43 psi, so it’s even less likely it would be able to effectively make the 650s work like 750s at 60psi. I have a feeling even the 650s at the current 43psi could do better and maybe not totally max out for him if the Maggie pump could feed them adequately. I’ve never been able to find the rating on that pump provided anywhere, but to feed 650s at 43psi it would have to be at least a 312lph pump running full out to come close to supporting them. Makes me wonder in this case, is the problem that the injectors are too small or the pump is too small or both.

The mag pump is 340, so it should be capable of maxing out the 650’s

Yeah I spoke to sniv about that. We are comfortable with the way things are running now. Split second 11’s is fine with me personally.
I may snag one and try but will need to see if my fuel pump can handle the extra pressure first otherwise it’s moot. They’re cheap enough to try if the pump can keep up. Or I upgrade the pump and ffv fpr lol but as sniv and I agreed on…it snowballs fast lol. Need 22 diff things to support one more thing. Once you get done with the last thing you’re like hmm maybe now I need this that and a built block if I keep going down this path lmao

Very true. And with most of us using these trucks as trucks, they're not wrapped to redline except for draggy runs or data logging.

I always have to remember that, as my past tuning experience was SCCA and hillclimb cars. Redline and occasionally overrev was the norm.

How did you determine that it is a 340? Genuinely curious because I’ve never seen anyone say with confidence what the heck it is! I agree though it’s probably not worth messing with for you to enjoy the supercharger. DAP has tuned more of these than anyone and he tunes all of his to run around 11.2 IIRC, and his tuned trucks are not blowing up left and right by any means.

Another member here told me the size. It appeared the same as my old aero340 from a diff car. I just asked SCOL to confirm size so will report back with real data/confirmation

I appreciate all the supercharger info. As a future member of this group, I'm slowly putting the information together that I can understand.

I come across statements that I can not put into context.

The above info on fuel pumps and injectors I was able to understand, except for the "11.2" reference.

Without units, I'm drawing a blank what this means.

If it's a stupid, common reference, please forgive my ignorance.

I'm here to learn everything I can before I drop the coin.

    Thankyou.

I'll be honest, I thought it was quarter mile times. I'm thinking, that's pretty damn fast for a truck!

I didn’t think we were talking about an FFV pump, I thought we were talking about the pump supplied with the magnuson SC kit.

Whatever this forum told me to do

I am comforted by your humility.

I've been in this S/C'd arena for a couple years and am still sitting way up in the cheap seats.

I'm still learning from these guys, albeit at a disastrously slow pace.

If need be, come sit up here with me & we'll watch the game in unison.

I'll second that it's easy to lose the context of the posts.

Please keep bombarding me with random data.

I have never been a person to bounce my vehicle engines off the rev limiters, and I hope this doesn't change when I get a supercharger.

    But you never know.

    Many on the way.
If you would like a good old fashioned read on superchargers and their implementation on engines, pick up a copy of Supercharged by Corky Bell. Some of the info is a little dated, as technology has moved on since it was written, but the basics are the same.

    Yup.
    Stock 86mm
Sniv 76mm for higher elevation... or low elevation looking for extra power
Sniv 70mm for higher power in higher elevation... or low elevation in search of a hole in the block.

Although... it appears the mag 2650 is spinning around 16k rpms... with people running these blowers (other vehicles) at 25psi and around 28k rpms... THERE IS ROOM LEFT.
I'm sure @snivilous would whip up a 55mm pulley for anyone with a built motor looking to see high hp numbers

Have any of y'all had a P0101 MAF sensor code? Randomly came on during the back end of a 9 hour road trip. Reset it hasn't came back but haven't hit the road to test since were getting pounded with snow.

I know my truck once or twice a year will throw a random MAF code. I wouldn't be worried about it unless it becomes a common occurrence.

Was just going to say same. Random p0101 codes would pop up when I wasn't even at max. Hasn't happened in a while.
