Has anyone had the issue where the CBI brackets make contact with the windshield wipers?

I've reached out to CBI twice via email and I have received radio silence.

On their website, it didn't look like this would be an issue. I've even cut into the bracket to create some clearance but I'm at the point where no more metal can be removed.

What ditch light brackets do yall use that don't encounter this problem?

I've had the CBI brackets on my truck for just over 4 years now and I have not had any contact in that time... I can try to grab a picture later to see how close mine are to the wiper.

No need to take pictures @APalmTree, I'll just order some different mounts. I appreciate it.

I got off the phone with CBI and they said another customer reported the same problem that I'm having. I wonder why they continue to sell then if they keep causing problems

I'll probably try the Rago mounts if they make them for my 2011. If they don't I'll go with SDHQ, they are more expensive but beggers can't be choosers if that's the case.

CBI has been a JOKE so far and I’m having the same issue. Took over a month to ship. They don’t answer the phone or reply for days on their “texting service”.
@APalmTree, did you mount them straight to mount or under the mount on the hood side?

They are sandwiched between the hood and the hinge bracket. I loosed both the hood bolts just a little bit then pulled 1 bolt put the ditch light bracket in place put the bolt back with a little play, then pulled the second bolt and rotated the bracket into place. My hood was also dirty enough that I know that I put the hood back in the same spot to maintain all the gaps without a bunch of fiddling.

Interesting... I was going to try that this weekend regardless but great to know you did it, and didn't have clearance issues. All the pictures I have seen of them show them on the bracket side, not the hood side and they don't mention either way so I went with what pictures showed. I will swap them around tomorrow.

Actually... I take it back, you are right. They are not sandwiched. I thought I remembered that from when I installed but I just looked at my pictures and I have no idea what I was thinking about. I am curious how different your truck will be since it is a 2.5 gen though. The hoods are different between the face lift so you might have more clearance by default?

    It's all good!
Dude, now I'm even more lost on what they're fabbing... I will still try swapping them but even just from this picture I can tell they are way different. When my hood is all the way open, the mounts touch the top of my fenders.... it appears you have over 1" of clearance.

Long short, don't buy CBI mounts. Had to run them under the bracket just to make them work. Now my hood sits high and CBI said they wont return them if installed and that I would have to pay return shipping. That would be reasonable if I decided I didn't like them for no good reason.. BUT THEY DO NOT WORK. I will never do business with them again and will be looking for a better option still.

I have Victory 4X4 brackets on mine. I had a little rub on the driver side wiper. I just gave it a little bend to make clearance. All is good and I’m happy with them.
