Oh cool. Good to know on the coverage. I now realize you do stereo stuff for work or for a living so this is your wheelhouse.

What's the deal with multi layers? What would you put on top of Noico or Kilmat to decrease road noise?

Edit: also how much lit did you get with the ATS HD leaf springs?

To be fair, I spent a chunk of my time in high school and 1st year college working at a shop owned by someone that worked at some pretty well known places. That was quite a while ago now. But the fundamentals haven't magically changed and I've been involved in that world for some 3+ decades now.

Multilayer simply adds more weight to the panel. Again, cars are made out of thin-gauge sheet metal. It's thin enough anything rattling will transmit high-pitch tinny noises, and that's offensive extra sound. The more weight you add to the panel, the less it can vibrate, i.e. the heavier it is the duller/lower any rattling sounds will be. Need an example? Get a chopstick. Tap on your tailgate skin somewhere in the middle. Now take your hand and press firmly on the metal, then tap right next to your hand. Notice the change in pitch having the weight of your hand there? That's what sound deadener is doing.

2" lift with ATS HD springs. I haven't seen anyone report less than 1.75" and nobody reporting more than 2" (yet).

Lots of cool options out there! I come from the industrial electric and controls end of things, stereo audio and design values are a completely different arena for me.
