I didn’t get it tuned. The AFR’s are good on 93 and E85 so I’m just running it. I would like to see what I’m getting at the wheel now though.

Would love to see a dragy pull with this setup! Must be making some jam. Especially to have 13+ psi with headers and no cats. Stock engine?

I have one but I have some work to do before I do a pull. I'm getting stuff together to do some suspension work and tune the CalTracs. Right now, if I'm not in 4WD, it just stands up and blows the tires off. I put some lighter wheels on and once the suspensions done I'll get some new tires and hit it.

I updated the first page and deleted all the fluff.

I got a batch of Magnuson 2650 pulleys in and shipped the first couple out yesterday. These are super cool, and I think I'm the first one to market with them, which is kind of obvious otherwise I wouldn't have made them in the first place  Stock is 86mm, these are 76mm and 70mm, which should be good for sea level and high altitude stuff. These pulleys are raw 6061 to keep cost down. They're actually pretty chonky, I probably could've cut the weight down quite a bit. I'm selling them for $100 a piece and they're machined by my guy in Utah.

Sniv Speed Shop has been getting quite a bit of activity lately. In the past couple weeks I've talked to quite a few people about tuning, and just yesterday did some tuning in person for a local guy.

Considering I don't advertise anywhere and it's all word of mouth, it's kind of cool the amount of outside-the-forum interest I've gotten. I was thinking I could actually advertise stuff, but SSS already takes up quite a bit of time and as I say, it's not even a side gig but really just a hobby. It'd be cool to make serious money off of it, but it'll take a long time to have it ever compete with my actual job. Regardless, I still enjoy tuning people's trucks and being able to do some fun design work and supply people with unique parts that the aftermarket refuses to do otherwise.

Sniv Speed Shop actually has made enough money to buy me a scanner though, $950 for a 3D scanner called an Einstar. I've been scanning a lot of stuff, here is a Magnuson 1900 supercharger from a few weeks ago. Little bit of interest on the forum for nitrous/methanol injection plates so might look at that someday.

One thing that might turn into a product, that similarly to my pulleys I never planned to sell but have gotten interest for, is billet 7075 solid axle knuckles. I broke a knuckle on my racecar so scanned the knuckle, designed my own, and currently it's being machined.

    upload_2023-12-20_10-55-58.png

So I might sell these someday, though for now they're one off parts. For these I'm testing an overseas manufacturer that a friend has been using, I wish I could have these machined in Utah but it's about 40% the cost to do it overseas and for something this expensive and being a one off unit I figured it's worth it. And the money I save will get put back into the guys in Utah to do other machining.

Another cool thing I've been working on is an updated long travel setup for a buddy's 4Runner. This will also be branded as Sniv Speed Shop. This is really cool, I have a frame scan I've been working off of, I also scanned the coilover he wants to use. This setup cycles about ~2" more travel than anything on the market, while being as narrow as possible. I got the lower arms out of billet aluminum quoted at ~$1200 overseas! Insane. I'm hoping I can convince my friend to splurge for billet everything instead of me welding them all as fabricated arms and knuckle. His 4Runner is supposed to be in a booth for Dobinson early next year, and while his truck already has a long travel kit I designed and built in a weekend a few years ago, this new setup will really bump up the sexiness for the booth plus has drastically improved performance all around the board.

    upload_2023-12-20_10-59-7.png

Additionally I've talked to some members on the forum about other projects, we'll see if those go anywhere. Here is an Atlas transfercase adapter I threw together to give Cruzer some ideas for his truck.

I think that brings this thread up to date on new products and things in the fire. If anyone wants to do cool shit, hit me up :D

Wow! How's that Sniv intake coming along? Haha Having options for 4.5 and 5 inch intakes would be great! Even having it modular to swap sizes of tube with TB's for everyday to offroad race day.

Add it to the list of stuff to look at hahaha. A guy was asking me about intakes the other day and I told him how horrible the Prospeed one was and it's now being passed around the forum. Made me think it wouldn't hurt to seriously consider making a full intake out of honeycomb composite since that would be extremely well insulated. Though that sounds like a lot of work too, and would probably cost as much as the Prospeed intake and only one person would buy one hahaha, and lord knows I don't need it for my mildly setup truck :D

Being able to do one off's and even old hard to find parts is a game changer. My dad was a machinist at Pratt Whitney in the 80's so I know what's involved. With CAD and CNC just brings it to the next level.

I'm excited for the overseas guys, and I was just in Europe for work and was talking to some guys and they were saying the machinists we use in Spain are stupidly cheap, so my next parts I'm gonna have them quote. The guy in Utah is great, but like you said for one off parts a normal shop is gonna charge a lot. Like the throttle body spacers, they're like $250 for Utah manufacturing and the Utah guy by US standards is insanely cheap. I'll continue to use him for my higher part count orders, but having options for one off stuff that's also cheap is a game changer for sure. The knuckles are sub $2000 for the pair, and that's out of 7075. It was nearly that expensive in just material state side. $1200 for a pair of A-arms? Absolutely insane, and cheap enough to risk trying. Having these options for machining, plus the scanner now, I can't wait to design all these gorgeous parts that in the past I would've cut and welded out of plate (not that that doesn't have its place).

Flat filter design, fully sealed, can pull air from the front and sit higher for tire/travel clearance I’m in lol. Currently in the works at ss in the old man’s rig so we will see

That'd be easy, I'd just cut some aluminum plates and weld it up. Maybe even do a double wall design and put foam in the space between the walls to insulate it. I would just need to know how much higher it'd need to sit relative to stock since I'd scan the engine bay and design off of that. If they suck at it let me know :D we could do a full billet airbox even

I was gonna have patches made for members of a short lived Tundra group. The digital sample I was sent looked pretty cool.

    @snivilous

My Magnuson 2650 just got installed on my 2016 Tundra this week. What would the estimated increase in boost be with the 76mm pulley? I'm not looking for anything crazy as my truck is my daily driver, so I'm more curious than anything else. I'm basically at sea level for reference. Awesome products btw, and kudos for sticking out the development and production challenges. I feel you in that I went through the same developing some custom boating products over the last myself.

@carn_dogg has a 2650 he recently installed running the 76mm pulley and is at sea level, I've been helping him tune it. He said it's making like 11-12psi and right now the Magnuson injectors are maxing out at 4800rpm. So it's a pretty fat bump up. I would consider it in the safe zone as far as how much power the engine makes (there's a number of people running that much boost, and at lower elevation my truck sees 11psi). However you would need larger injectors and a tune to go with it, so it snowballs fast. There's not much overhead left with the Magnuson injectors in stock form at sea level.

Hopefully 650cc injectors do the trick!
The truck feels much quicker with the smaller pulley (and sniv tune).

Whatever this forum told me to do
    for whatever it’s worth….

my 650’s appear to be doing fine on the 77.5.

and whatever fuel pump came with the harrop is doing well to

my afr’s are still in the 10’s

I imagine i’m at the “safe” ragged edge of both the injectors and fuel pump

for the record….i’m stopping at 77.5mm

and this bitch will cruise at 20mpg on the hwy.

Good to know. You're on harrop? What size is your intake?
The Mag 2650 seems to be pulling a lot of air in with the 76mm pulley so just hoping the 650's can keep up at higher rpms without maxing out the dc.

    Who did your tune?

Harrops use the stock air box. Upgrading to the Maggy box is a common upgrade as they about max the MAF voltage with an 85mm pulley at redline.

Yeah I was just looking it up online and I see that.
Don't want to thread jack. Just has me thinking about the 650's on my setup and crossing my fingers it's enough fueling. His harrop with stock intake and 77.5 pulley isn't pulling nearly the same amount of air as the mag with 4.5" intake and 76 pulley. DW650's set to be delivered Tuesday this week so we will know soon enough.
