What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

obviously a 700lb spring up front helps but I also believe a solid setup in the rear helps. I noticed after the AG springs the rear felt more stable but still really comfortable

 

I need to take a look at my setup tomorrow. For some reason my suspension is hitting hard on small 2-3” deep potholes giving me a jarring shock almost like it bottoming out yet my Bilstein shocks are only 2-3 years old with less than 30k miles.

I can fly down roads with filled potholes and the truck has no issues absorbing the small bumps, just not the small potholes.

Very strange.

 

so are most roof racks rivnutted into those "gutters" on our roofs?

 

I took my rear sway off a while ago and I’m not sure if it’s the bumper but life without the rear sway bar doesn’t make much difference. Fairly sure the front bumper also helped offset a bit of the sway bar. Maybe helping the truck stay level… butt dyno stuff but I don’t miss either front or rear sway bar

 

Think so. Ordered mounting parts from Prinsu (all the nuts and bolts) and it uses rivnuts.

 

Probably all the silica up in her folds and creases.

My truck skid is fiberglass and the fibers are shedding every time I change oil. Wonder if there is anything I can spray on it?

Since don't have a press or the space in the shop for now (like @The Black Mamba with all the angle grinder space), found a 4x4 specialty shop that has the jig and apparently the experience to do it for <$100. Expect to replace both retainers and bearing with the seal and o-ring for under $200 all in.

But if had the press and this tool, rather do it @ home and test the seal fitting to perfect fit centered in the retainer.

Everytime I read about squeaks, pops, and rattles, I just think to myself, "man, these guys would hate to drive my truck". This thing has more noises coming from everywhere than I even know how to handle. I developed a new rattle just behind the cab while out in the desert. Pretty sure it's the cab mount. Eh, just turn the 15s up and they all go away.

Not being an ass but their tool prices are stupid cheap compaired to HD, Lowes, McCoys, Grainger and even Northern Tool. Granted their tools dont last as long but shit, life time warrantee is a life time warrantee lol. The only thing I waiting for sales on is the welders. This year for black Friday Im going to get that orange titanium 209 TiG unit. That shits got so many stellar reviews that even my snob ass millermatic dynasty loving whore self cant pass it up. Hell my brother is even looking at one and hes got a multiprocess highbfreq AC DC ESAB.
