    Be careful w/the ammo you run through that thing; we've seen a few of them crack frames on hotter +p and +p+ rounds...

    This is a decent choice for commercial defense ammo, but is a bit costly for range time: Good expansion and consistent loads on this JHP...

    Not that I would know but I have heard that instead of a .38 special, you might try a .44 special. Same frame but only 5 rounds with much greater stopping power - at least that is what I have been told.

    Gun shopping is hard. I try to explain this to my wife. You're in a Big Box store. You have 10,000 Fluorescent lights overhead. You go to the Gun Range - outside or in a well- lit room.
    When you NEED to use the gun - it's dark, or poorly lit, or you're in a closet. The SIGHTS on these small guns are terrible in low visibility conditions. Please keep that in mind when you select a gun in a well lit environment.
    I know there are a lot of "taurus haters" on the internet. But those little Fiber optic sights on the Taurus polymer guns are the best.

    *Please shoot safely. Please do not target practice in the dark. But - know that you won't have time to don Eyes and Ears and turn on all the lights before you face a perpetrator in your home.
