I finally decided to get into suppressors. The wait might kill me, but I'm pretty excited.
    I ordered a Rugged Alaskan 360 and a Rugged Mustang .22.

Now I need to figure out how I want to mount it to my guns.
Main rifle will be a Ruger precision in 6.5 prc.
It would be nice to use it on a couple different AR's in 556 and I also want to use it on my 9mm AR and possibly a couple handguns with threaded barrels.

I think I'll end up using the Rugged muzzle devices for the RUM attachment system but I don't know if there is a better, cheaper option.

This a thread I can get behind. 11 cans and I currently have 2 pending. Socom mini and a B&T Mars suppressor (the new model that is 3d printed). The rifle in the back is an integrally suppress 10/22. Along with the suppressors I think I have 13 more stamps, not including what is pending. Next on the list is a full auto.

The secret is to order a new one every few months, then after the first one gets out of suppressor jail, it'll seem like you're only waiting a couple of months...

The good news is that my last E-form was approved after only 128 days, so maybe they're starting to move closer to their target wait times finally!

    PS>>> Congrats!!!!

Thanks! I've been wanting to do it for forever. I'm already shopping for more. The goal is to eventually have a suppressor for every gun in the safe.
I read somewhere the other day that somebody had a form 4 turned around in under a week. I've decided I'm going to just let it run it's course and I'll get it when I get it.

Well, I guess will chime in on this thread.
I have made all my Silencer purchases from Silencer Central. The guy I talked to is the same person I have delt with.
Even when I had a question or issue. He always did what he could to solve the issue/ Problem.
If anyone wants his name, number or email please let me know.
I am currently waiting on Silencer#4.
    Paperwork was submitted in November.
ATF site states 224 days from time paperwork is submitted. So, I figure late May or early June is when I should receive it.
It will be going on my Stag Arms AR I bought in October.
I did back around Dec 2022/ Jan 2023 bought a Silencer for my 300 Blk Out I was building.
At the time the company was doing a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Promotion.
So, I got my Silencer for my 300 Blk Out and got a free silencer for my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite pistol.
I will post pictures of them all this weekend.

Another good way to forget about the wait is have so many NFA items. I’ve been buying NFA stuff since 2011 and have 24 stamps currently and when I buy new stuff I honestly don’t even think about the wait anymore since I have a bunch to occupy my time. The first few are always the hardest to wait for though.

As for the quick turn around on form 4s, it’s strictly for individual filings from what I have seen and heard. ATF supposedly is automating individual filings for quick turn around. If you are filing with a trust you will be waiting.

I couldn't help myself and went back to my FFL and ordered another can. I went with the Rugged Razor 556.
Now I have 3 in jail; Rugged Mustang 22, Rugged Alaskan 360, and the Rugged Razor 556.

    Musicmaster, nice Walter.
I have a few silencers and have not been very impressed by any them except the 10/22 TD barrel by ruger. I’ve let friends shoot that and they wonder if a shot was fired. It’s that quiet, like a red Ryder BB gun.
    That’s just been my experience.

I really liked the spectre ii. I’ve shot it on my S&W 15-22 and M&P22 and they’re both super quiet. Excited to try the dead air mask out as I hear it’s suppose to be one, if not the, best/quietest 22 suppressor out right now

Well, I finally got approved by ATF a week or so ago.
I bought the Silencer back in October. The paperwork was submitted to ATF November 8th.
So, this time it took 6 months to get it.
I got the email with tracking number.
    I should receive it tomorrow.
This will be on my Stag Arms Project SPCTRM AR.

All of these suppressors went out of stock between he time that I ordered them and the time my dealer decided to put his order in. It took about 9 weeks for them to come in, but I finally certified the form 4's on 5/9. We'll see if I have one of the short approval times like some people are seeing.
Today I put a few rugged muzzle devices on my rifles. I have another AR I'll be suppressing as well, but I need to swap the barrel before I can do that.

I had all three form 4's get approved through the day today and I went in and picked them up this afternoon. I certified and submitted them Thursday 5/9 and they were approved today. I'm pretty happy with the quick turn around.
I also decided to order a sig p322 to have a suppressed .22 pistol.

Individual. My hangup with suppressors has always been the approval times. I can't believe they came through that quickly.

yea that’s insane. I’ve heard individuals have been coming back at lightning speeds. I wish they’d do that with trusts as well. If so I’d prob buy 1 or 2 more right now!!

I've heard they are trying to implement the same strategy to the trust filings, but haven't quite gotten it yet. I don't really understand why they aren't tackling the huge backlog of applications, but I'm glad to have gotten mine so quickly.

So I submitted ATF Form 4 (Trust) in November, received an email from ATF stating the status has changed to "SUBMITTED/IN PROCEES" in February. Does the "clock" start from November or February? Was hoping I was getting close...

Best thing to do is forget all about it until you get the email that it’s approved. It’s got to be something about it being in a trust, even if you’re the only person in the trust. My first one was like 16 months.
The post about only taking 4 days??? Incredible. My local shop has been telling me that the wait times are drastically shorter now also.
