2018 Tundra SR5 Grille

Just purchased a great looking 2018 Tundra SR5. The only thing I don't car for is that the previous owner swapped the chrome stock grille assembly for a black TRD Pro grille. I know it is a popular modification but I am old school and really prefer the stock chrome/black mesh grille. Anyone have advice on the best place to get a replacement grille? Anyone out there want to swap for a TRD Pro grille?? Thanks for any advice.

 

Great blue you get there. I wish you luck. My 2 cents, I'd consider wrapping the hood bulge and grille surround. The blue and black look on the front is killer, but I'm biased. The blue and chrome is not a bad look, but with your blacked out bumpers, I think the chromed front will stick out more then expected. But if you like the look, I'm sure someone has stock chrome pieces to trade. Good luck

I am also going to remove the black bumper covers front and back, level/lift the truck a couple inches, taller more aggresive tires and improve the exhaust. I am also selling the very nice Leer camper topper. Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone intersted in the stuff I'm taking off let me know.

 

Just an FYI, my will want to read the Buy/Sell/Trade rules before you do try to post.

Also, those bumper end caps look nice and shiny, are you sure they are covers and not the actual plastic end caps from Toyota? If the later, its harder to switch out. More of a, double check before you start thinking it will be quick.

He couldn’t find the original. The bumper caps are removable. I checked before I purchased the truck.

I have a 2016 SR5 grille that I’d love to swap with you. Would have to ship from CA but I’m game

 

I can get a grille locally but according to the p/n it is for a 2014-2017. Will it fit my 2018? I’d still have to secure a hood scoop.

 

It should. im doing an 18 grill on my 15. you just have to figure out the emblem. they are different.

 

Yes. It will fit all the way up to a 2021.

 

@67Camaro how is your sensor currently attached behind that grille? The difference in 14-17 and 18-21 years is that the later have a sensor behind the grille (either in the emblem or below the TOYOTA). Since you have an earlier grille, they must have some form of relocation for the sensor. Either mimic or re-use what they have if you go with a pre 18 grille.

 

He has the AJT kit. I'm surprised it works at all.

 

Sensor is mounted behind the grille and separate from the grille. If this is the sensor responsible for the function of lane assist, it works fine.
