Would you pick a 2.5 gen 5.7L 6 speed AT over your V6 TT?

As long as the 3rd gen Tundras prove to be reliable up to and in the 300,000 mile range as other previous Toyotas were, I have no problem with a twin turbo motor. Ford has been mainstream with theirs since 2011. Many have surpassed the 200 and 300k miles mark.

For me the question is, would I buy an extended warranty on a new Toyota vs never buying them on the previous ones. I did with both Ford turbo vehicles. Just more to go wrong outside of warranty that is now hard to fix yourself and is expensive.

If you lease or flip your vehicles before the warranty is up, you should have no problems with the newer ones.

I tested them all (GMC 6.2 AT4 refresh, F-150 powerboost) and found the tundra to be the most refined powertrain, easily the best transmission, best riding, best handling, nicest interior, lowest torque peak, load leveling rear and AVS, better camera system, and had all the features I wanted for starters. The ram was out, just didn't want another one. And of course the full roll down window in the back, I LOVE THAT.

O, and also it didnt break down on the test drive like the ford powerboost did.

but if you're just looking for everything under "capability" to mean only payload and towing top numbers, you're not going to get it with toyota, Sweers said point blank, we are not playing that game.

I will say the Gen 3 tundra tows awesome in the real world, huge step forward from the last gen. I was not able to tow on my test drive with the GMC or powerboost, well especially the powerboost since it broke, lol.
