    Hey guys-
1st post. Got a 2019 Tundra. Came out one day, and my shifter was stuck in Park. I use the release tab, and it worked just fine. Then the shifter started working fine the next day. Then a day later, it got stuck in Park again. Now I have to use the release tab every time to get it out of park. I checked the STOP fuse. It’s good. All brake lights, hazards, signals work fine.
What other fuses do I need to be checking?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Maybe you have a bad brake switch that only works sometimes. It's under the dash above the pedal.

Yeah you can test it with a multi meter, but with intermittent problems the test might deliver poor results. The switch is pretty cheap and they cycle often causing wear. You might also have rodent damage to your wiring. Have you looked for sign of rodent damage? Check out the cabin filter if you haven't already screened the HVAC fresh intake. Mice love the soy based wiring insulation on these trucks and if not done you need to screen the intakes under the windshield cowling.

Ok good to know. I have a multimeter. Wouldn’t hurt to do a test on that then. No-I haven’t checked any possible rodent damage yet. But need to check that as well! Thanks 2mchfun!
    I’ll update when I know more…

Showing my ignorance here...Where is the HVAC fresh intake located? I'm checking my cabin filter now.

It's under the black plastic cowling between the rear of the hood and the windshield. Directly in front of the glove compartment if you will.

There are several holes along the firewall, the biggest one is about 2"x8". Screen all with hardware cloth or gutter guard material.

I don't see any rodent activity anywhere. So I'm continuing on

All good information, although it is important to keep in mind that screening off the possible cab entry points will do nothing to prevent rodents from chewing wires in the engine bay.

Not sure if this applies to Tundra, but I have seen stuck in park issues on other manufactures vehicles and it was often related to bad brake switch or body control module that controls those functions.

I had this issue on my previous Tundra, when I removed the center console I found rodent damage and debris. The wire going to the shift solenoid had been chewed through, it's as thin as a hair but I managed to splice it back together.

This happened on my daughter’s Sorento, turned out to be a bad body control module.

I’m going to test my brake switch today. Then open up the middle console to see if anything jump outs to me. Thanks for all the information. I’ll keep you posted

Ok brake switch tests good. (Tested with multimeter). I’ve read it could be possible fuses? Which ones should I be checking?

    Hi
Try checking the Neutral Safety Switch
My 4Runner at one time was having a problem coming out of P when parked for a while and the D would not light up sometimes.
I went underneath and gave the mechanical bar on the switch a good soaking of lube.
It tends to corrode on the 4runner. My 18 Tundra is fine but maybe same thing.
    Worth checking.
