Does the fumoto valve stick out too far from the RCI skid plate?

Hmmm good question. I took my factory skill off. Got tired of taking it off for oil changes. Probably not the best idea. Need to add one back that works with a car guard

I use a Fumoto with an RCI aluminum plate. Zero interference. Oil clears the edge of the pan by plenty when draining, but is still well protected.

Just got the same things in the mail after my dealer oil changes ran out. Now just hoping the Incredible Hulk didn’t tighten my oil canister the last time I was at the dealership

The F133N supersedes the older F103N. The new design fits the same applications the older design, but features a larger internal orifice for faster oil flow, allowing for quicker oil changes

I picked up the EZ version of the valve, it was cheaper and frankly looks like a very similar design. Nothing against fumoto, but I gotta save $$ where I can for racing.

For the oil filter bit, I picked one of those too. You just plug it into the canister for the oil filter to start the drain?

I used to have a IS250 (daily driver) and I was always annoyed I couldn't get a port into the same canister. That Filter drain tool will definitely keep the mess to a minimum. Thanks for sharing that!

Unscrew (out) the round knurled wheel from the hex part., screw the hex part into the bottom of the filter housing...Screw in the round wheel to drain the oil. When done, unscrew the wheel back out and then unscrew the hex from the housing..

Any issues with the version with the long nipple and ground clearance ? I feel like it shouldn’t be lowest thing on truck but without climbing under it I can’t be sure

That's the route I went with recently. I liked how it didn't stick out as far and came with a drain hose. I haven't drained my oil with it yet, but the install was easy.

I’ve used an earlier version of that screw-on style, with less than stellar results. Slight leak that the cap contained, but it leaked all the time.
Too many people on here with the Fumoto valve and not a single testimonial of a failure that I can think of.

The valve design of the fumoto kind of sketches me out, but as mentioned I never hear of anyone saying they leak or open on their own so I ordered one anyway. I did get little rubber caps to install over the nipple as a just in case it does leak. It may not stop all the leaking, but it would hopefully slow it down to where I would notice some oil drips on the floor vs it all dumping out on the street while driving. Do most people install them with their included gasket or use a Toyota crush washer?

Ok I read this thread to the end and nobody asked, so I'll ask. You fire up your truck without oil in it and drive in a field for a few minutes getting the last bit of oil out? Am I missing something?

The important part is the CCW circular pattern. You HAVE to go CCW or the oil won’t get slung out da hole. It’s like doing an Around The World with a Yo-Yo.

Maybe missing a couple cards out of your deck, but I think you’re close enough to run with our crowd. :)

Just bought a new filter housing. The metal plug in the bottom was seized on. If tired anymore it would have cracked. Dealers never remove them. They take the filter out all in one shot.

Yep. Mine has the nipple, but either style will work fine.

I have fumoto valves on all my cars - Tundra, FJ, and Prius. I haven’t had any issues and wouldn’t do it any other way.
