Dang, that is a problem. I thought Icon wheels were supposed to be good.

    Alot of them
Most likely an isolated issue. We have Icons on our 4R and no issues at all.

Something small... bought the cheap version tow mirrors. Haven't wired the reverse lights yet as I can't decide if I want them on a switch, tied to reverse lights or tied to dome lights. Today I just popped the caps off and going to try the diy paint match.
Also found this shell for 500 and seller gave me the bed rug for free. Added some strip lights hooked up to pin switch. When I open shell the lights come on. Will color match shell this summer if I keep it.

I painted my mirror caps. I did it before I had seen them installed and didn't realize I needed the paint to go all the way around the edge. So I have a few spots where the paint seems thin but its been over a year and no complaints. Make sure you use a quality 2k clear.

Thank you. I think I'm going to set them on a metal grate so I can spray up to get the edges. I didn't think about this so I'm glad you posted

Here are 2 photos of painting mine. In the first, you can see the slight step down for the lip that locks in to the mirror housing. That is were I wish I would have painted a little better, but I was worried about affecting the assembly. Now that I've had them installed, that isn't a concern. In the 2nd picture the mirros were rotated so that lip is facing down, this is when I sprayed the clear.
If I did it again, I'd try and ensure I could get all edges covered. If you get some on the interior it doesn't matter.

Yeah the plan was to just buy it and flip it for profit but I like it and when he gave me the bed rug too I was shocked. Rug alone is 450. At 6'4" I can sleep corner to corner no problem so camping needs were met.

I had a slow leak in one wheel of 5 and nobody could find it. It was very slow and not really an issue with the TPMS sensors and I would fill it up when it needed which was at least a month if not more. Then years later I made the comment to the girl at Discount when she asked how things have been I said all good except that damn leak. When I told her she dove into it like a bulldog chasing dinner and after a while called me out there. The tire was on the wheel and she had it laying in a very large tub of water almost laying down and you could see the bubbles. It would start to form then make a very small bubble then another but it was very slow. It was covered under manufactures warranty. Other than that they have been spot on

I’ve heard nothing but good about them actually. I guess part of my point though is that it’s real easy to say that KO2s are hard to balance. Maybe they are, but I’m on my 3rd set between my Tundra and 4Runner and have never had a balancing issue. Could be the tire, could be the wheel. In my case it wasn’t the tire and the wheel was not warped or out of round, but it was definitely a wheel issue. And to be fair the guy at DT said he’d never seen that.

Well hopefully I can get to the bottom of this in the next couple days when the weather breaks, I certainly appreciate all of the comments. I do have a 5th K02 that doesn't have nearly as good of treadwear as the others, but if I have to I can run it as a primary. I was originally planning on running a set of five and ordered an extra wheel during the President's Day sale before I ran into this balancing issue, it just showed up today. So realistically I will be out more money than I ever wanted to be and some extra hassle, but will at minimum have 4 functioning wheels/tires depending on what I find.

    Edit: Link posted weird.

Just received the OEM rail system I ordered from BAM Wholesale Auto Parts. Couldn't pass up the price, $160 shipped. Everything looks good, no damage, and feels solid. Now to wait until the weekend to install it.

Nothing depreciates like a camper shell. $4k new fully loaded, $500 on Craigslist 3 years later.

I noticed that you have the rail along the inside front of your console too. It screws up using an upper tray.

It's probably only a few months old, but only 10% off a new one plus I'd have to drop $1200 having it repainted.
