It wasn’t bad advice or observations. And it’s the internet. Buck up people.

doesn’t mean you act like one of you don’t got time for it.

this response AND the way you reacted to him finding out how much shit he’s gonna have to fix makes you seem like you’re the life of the party…..let me guess you ALSO hate tires larger than 32”??

    At bat for atbav.

obviously neglected vehicles stand out like a sore thumb. Kinda bugs me as a motorcyclist. Some things are worse than others, but bouncing wheels, tire cords, and metal on metal brakes are some of the worst. I dont care how sorry someone is, they hit me and dont kill me, they'll regret it. In pieces.

Atbav8 Listen here bud we have been nothing but normal here and everyone but you has been great and so helpful thanks to the reat of y’all god bless. Since you can’t read for shit it seems like let me list it out for ya

A- I’m not bragging, I’m sorry your heavily praised v8 struggles to do 90 but where I live I’m slow think about that, I get passed by ram 2500s, Camrys and even mom cars because here people haul ass and I struggle to keep up so don’t get your feelings hurt

B- you sit and talk shit about my truck when I’m assuming your older than me in the same thing. this website is supposed to bring us together to help others and if you don’t like it leave and be gone we don’t care

C- don’t be mad when I’m trying to learn ok everyone leaves these things stock and eat you alive if you say one thing they don’t like I’m just trying to get and become knowledgeable in these trucks so watch it

Calling me a little snowflake is crazy, that fact you think “so watch it” is a threat shows how man you are bud but if you want it to be one we can.

now imma ignore this yapping woman and get back to reality, so is it a conclusive decision that Siberian bushings are good? And I also heard it’s easier to just get uppers and lowers instead of pushing out the bushings so do y’all recommend that instead?

heed this warning. If you’re gonna replace the UCA. See if they’re have a UBJ already. I replaced my OEM UBJ’s then bought KSP UCA and now I’m gonna have to do the UBJ removal twice.

and yes, fuck pulling/pressing bushings. Buy new arms

I'm pretty sure baiting is against the forum rules, too. I think you're both in the wrong. 'Snowflake' (whether accurate or not) is a pretty charged word these days.

Ugh. UBJ on these trucks. Literally never had such a fight, not even with the worst, most rusted-in-place pitman and idler arms.

Oh ok gotcha and as research has shown always go oem for UBJs if needed right? I plan on just getting oem LCAs but for the uppers since I’m lifting it in the future should I just get aftermarket ones or keep ‘em stock for now?

This time around, I’m just cutting off the top of the UBJ with a cut off wheel and using a 3 jaw gear removal tool or tie rod removal tool.

Plan for the future. Buy once, cry once.

I have $1500 in parts just sitting in my garage until I get EVERYTHING together to do the install correct.

id just say you get new daily tires now. Super cheap Wally World specials. And then put all your Pennie’s aside to do the lift once and do it the right way.

I mean, general rule of thumb is, you're going to get as much life as the vehicle currently has if you replace with OEM. Aftermarket is a crapshoot. If you can install OEM and get another - what, 19 years out of it? - then go OEM. If you buy aftermarket, you may very well be replacing it 3 times in the same period of time as one OEM part. We have guys on here get burned time and time again going aftermarket, even with big-name brands like Moog that suck fucking balls now.

In the case of LBJ, YES ALWAYS DO OEM LBJ, even if it costs 4x as much.

For UBJ, if the part isn't more than double in cost, I'd probably just get OEM.

Yeah I’m pretty much set on oem for LCAs, UBJs and bushings imma check out those Siberian’s that guy mentioned but I think I need to look more into those uppers, I don’t want to buy ones just cause there cheap and it mess up my suspension components. Also just for reference I won’t be doing any off-roading and I just drive it to college and daily it so I don’t know if that has anything to do with my upper control arm selection I should make.

It’ll selection easier since you won’t need that extra buffness hence I went with Freedom knock offs (KSP) now I will say, I haven put them on but overall build looks mint, numerous other truck owners have used them and I have heard of any (but one) catastrophic failure (on a ferd)

    There's a thread for non-OEM success/fails over here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-parts-corner-of-shame-oem-minus-or-plus.122591/

You may find non-OEM lowers in there that others had success with. Or not. I can't keep up :D

It’s both the speed limit and being in Texas where the roads are long, smooth and pothole free.

I used to do 90 mph driving a Ford Festiva rental there getting to work on Highway 71 after throwing a crankshaft bearing in my car and I thought that was crazy. I’d also ride with a friend doing 95 mph between Austin and Houston late at night coming home from the strip club.

Here I’ve only done 110 mph in my Tundra at 3am on a 5 mile stretch between home and work and that’s when my Tundra was only 10 years old.

I won’t do that today in my Tundra.
