My truck (2022 Limited) currently has 29xxx miles. At 9866 miles, I took in for a regular service and mentioned the surge/hesitation at low speeds. In the report I got back it says "unable to verify concern". However, I recently noticed that on the history service reports on the Toyota App it says it was flashing codes "P0335/P1340 Intermit. hot soak/no start".

What do I even do here????

What you didn’t know won’t hurt you. It’s still under warranty.

Make sure you document it with at least a screen shot. That gives you proof and a time and date just in case it becomes an issue down the road.

Probably true but don't you need a fairly high end scanner to read that data? Dealer or shop might not be forthcoming about sharing that info when something fails just out of warranty...standard old school CYA IMHO.

    • I didn't mention that at 23xxx miles P0705 popped up which is the transmission range sensor and they had me pay out of pocket for it saying it was due to a short because of a liquid. After doing research the previous codes can trigger this one.

I see what you’re saying. Put if you research these codes. The symptoms are
    • Check Engine Light is on.
    • Engine stalls or hesitates.
    • Engine bucks or stumbles at road speed.
    • Hard starting or no-start.
    • Engine misfire/rough running.

    • Which are the problems I mentioned to them. So if the codes were there and related to my issues I would expect them to tell me/ fix them.

From the app. Only reason I looked at the app records is because my truck has been at Toyota since 02/05/2024 because it was leaking a good amount of gas (the recall) and I’m looking at moving forward with a lemon law claim.
