    front tire on a MSP is $506

    I had the warranty. So…only spent $101 to warranty the new one

    Interesting.

    The MSP tests the limits of acceleration with friction based issues.

    the tires can only grip so much.

    I wonder how they will surpass this limitation?

    I'm picturing a big flintstone type rear tire(s).

    they have the technology to accelerate faster. they need more traction.

    because I am intimately aware of how much tires cost.....these new, wide, sticky tires are going to cost some bucks.

    My question was about the tire price. That price for 1 tire is on par with a full set, or at least multiple, regular tires.

    Can a Tesla not use regular tires?

    it's a Michelin 265/35 ZR21

    there are less expensive tires. Toyo's are $293.

    and I'm not sure if it needs special tires.

    I'm just putting on what came on it.

    well...except the rear tires....those are now perelli.

    there are EV based tires that have a 1" foam insert inside the tire. to keep it quiet.

    It appears that is what I'm running.

    Yes they can. I think the rear is a slightly larger tire size than the front (just fyi) but yes lol. Its just tires.

    To give an idea of how long it’s been since I fueled a vehicle….I fueled the wife’s Highlander this afternoon and promptly left the fuel station to see my chiro. Upon arrival, I noticed I forgot to put the fuel cap back on and lock it into place. :facepalm:
