I'm attempting Task Rabbit (never heard of it until now, but seems like a great idea!)

Depends on the issue. Some don't have an impact on hotness.

Lunch is shredded smoked chicken with a new "hot" sauce. Not really hot, but good flavor. Had to use about a 3rd of the bottle though.

 

Is it the chili garlic that is "new"? Cholula is a staple.

 

New to me. I'm a puss with hot food, but lately I've gained an appreciation so long as there is good flavor and the heat doesn't just escalate with each bite. This is barely hot, even by my standards, but had good flavor. I think I still prefer the Melinda's habanero sauce I usually use, but both are good sauces.

 

At work we use a company called BTX Global Logistics. They will pick up, but it has to already be packaged.

 

Doing a half-assed carnivore. No rice. That's just chicken. The thing that makes it half-assed is the hot sauce and whatever the rub was for the chicken. I'm working to get back to full carnivore, though.

 

Thank you! That's another name I've never heard of. I'm about to test the local UPS Store since they, apparently, might do this type of thing. Maybe. Possibly. TBD

 

Love it though!!! It must be like zero gravity. Neck looks very supported with that melon hanging off it.

 

I remember a co-worker a few years ago was doing one of those new fad diets to try to lose weight. Can't remember if it was keto or what as I can't keep them all straight. So he'd have two bacon double cheeseburgers for lunch (without the buns) then say "I shouldn't have more because the barbecue sauce has too much sugar for me."

I don't think it was the bread and the sugar in the barbecue sauce that was his problem...

This isn't a comment on your diet in any way, just a funny story I wanted to share.

Yeah, the way the carnivore works is you eat like a pig for the first couple days, but then you wind up just not being hungry and only eat once or twice. I ate that chicken (0.635 lbs on the label but I think the grocer cheats and doesn't weigh the meat separate from the container) and it's entirely possible I won't eat again today. If I do it'll be something like a steak, eggs, or another serving of chicken.



So, 288 grams of chicken is about 700 calories. Less if it's just white meat, which this is, but lets go with that to cover the rub and hot sauce. Eating two of those in a day is still sub 1500 calories. Good enough to at least not gain anything. Days where I eat less I'll burn more.




Just sharing info, not preaching or being defensive.

 

I've been on a journey, too. Had nothing to do with new year resolutions and all that BS, just woke up and felt I needed to get healthier. It's taken nearly 2 months but I'm finally at a point where I'm losing weight on a consistent trajectory and I've been able to figure out the food part. Salty meals absolutely show (for on average 2-3 days ), but more importantly, portion sizes were huge for me. It's amazing how quickly the calories add up when you aren't paying attention. I've found that green pepper slices and tzatziki are phenomenal fillers with flavor and low calories. I can have a container (about 2 cups sliced) and about 2 tablespoons of sauce for 80-100 calories. And it is filling enough to comfortably hold me for 3-4 hours until dinner. The poop cycles are singing in harmony, too! Added bonus.

Enjoy your own journey and I wish you all the success you could ask for. Oh! Pickles and hot sauce have almost zero calories.

 

That's awesome that you've found something that is working! There are so many options and so many preferences, plus some stuff works for one person and not the next. It's quite the puzzle for all of us. You should check out the "what do you eat in a day" thread and share what you've got going on.
