I have a 2018 Tundra Crewmax SR5, just replaced my 4LO actuator on the transfer case and still can't get truck to go into 4LO. I am following manufacturers instructions on how to put it into 4lo as well as some other methods mentioned here on this forum. I haven't seen anyone else have this exact problem so I'm at a loss for what to do next. New actuator is OEM and new in box. For 4LO, I start in 4HI wait until the 4HI lights stays solid green, after that I change the switch to 4LO with the truck in neutral. The 4LO is engaging, you can hear a clunk and the truck has the feel of 4LO when you put it in drive after the clunk but the lights stays flashing. Any help is much appreciated. Picture of actuator installed below.

How far have you driven in 4lo with it flashing?

Have you done the secret d/c the battery and reconnect?

So I ended up crawling under the truck and following all the wires out, I found out the transfer case indication switch was chewed up by rats, that’s why it was going into 4lo but the truck just didn’t know it. 1200 later for nothing lol.IMG_9039.jpg

Doh! Pesky rats. Well, look on the bright side - you found the problem. And you now have a new shift actuator... I can't say I haven't learned the same lesson the same way.

I feel your pain. It is something that I try to remind myself all th time
Hard lesson. Exhaust every free, cheap or easy fix and then start throwing big money at it.

Learn from it and move on.

Best of luck to you and yours.
