Hey everyone! I just purchased a 2020 SR5 in cement with the TSS Offroad package. The truck has 52k miles and seems to be in perfect condition. Upon purchasing the vehicle I noticed an aftermarket knob installed. The dealer was unsure and we checked any kind of light source and couldn't figure out what this is. Attached is the pic.

Also, I've started to notice that intermittently I'll hear static and interference from the speakers. This happens if the audio is playing or not and even continues while restarting the vehicle. It only stops when powering down the vehicle. This has led me to believe it's some sort of electrical issue but any help with that would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

Does it have the stock HU/radio, amp, and speakers in it?
That looks like some kind of aftermarket bass or audio adjustment knob...

Stock HU and speakers to my knowledge. Where would I look for the AMP?

They may have put the stock HU and stuff back in the truck to trade it in..
That panel and the climate control panel pulls out pretty easily.
Without the key on, put your thumb in the 12 volt plug and pull the panel out.
The climate panel pulls right out as well.
You might see what wiring is behind the knob.

Speakers, amp, subs, floorboard lights...and the little step thing under the bumper
That's where aftermarket shop put my bass adjustment. Mine is still factory head unit, so maybe you have hidden upgraded amp, sub, speakers, too!

    Alot of them
That looks like the same bass knob that Clarion uses. Do one of two things. Turn your volume up and then turn the knob and see if the bass increases. The other is pop the panel out. If it is a bass knob, it will have a telephone style cord plug on the back of it. If it has the telephone style cable plugged in and there is no bass increase, then it was left behind after an amp was removed.

As far as the amp location, the stock amp is under the passenger seat.
It will have a plastic cover over it.

Most guys pull it and install aftermarket amps there..

Thank you everyone for the help ID'g this. Looks like it is indeed an aftermarket amp and bass knob as it noticeably changes the bass when turned. https://www.arcaudio.com/x2-amplifiers/x2-1200.6

I feel like this could be the electrical cause of my static noise and crackling as well. The knob has the ethernet port on it but nothing is run to it, rather just a small connector as shown in my pic attached.

If anyone has further guidance for tracing this noise/static issue please let me know, or if you know anything about car audio and can tell me what I have on my hands that would be great as well.

congrats on finding you've gotten a nice stereo upgrade..... Arc is quality equipment..... with any luck theres a coupla Arc subs behind the back seat also...... and maybe upgrades elsewhere to..... whoever did the upgrade didn't take the cheapest route with a 1200.6($1000+) so likely theres more goodies than you know.....

the static is likely a GROUND issue...... if you aren't good with looking for such finding a local stereo shop to locate and resolve it may be money well spent.....
