My 2011 Tundra keeps stalling whether driving it or at Idle. It has 183000 miles and has been running great. A week ago it just starting stalling every 1 1/2 to 3 minutes. I first thought it was bad fuel, water in the fuel, or debry in the tank clogging the fuel filter as it happened the day after I filled it up. I had driven it about 18 miles after filling it up and then did not use it for 24 hours then it started stalling. I then syphoned out 3/4 of the tank and put in 5 gallons of 91 octane to see that did it. Unfortunalety it did not. This whole time the check engine light had never come on. I did some more research and found that it could be the MAF sensor or that the Throttle body needed to be cleaned. I cleaned the MAF sensor and cleaned the throttle body which seemed to help the low idle problem that was happening since I though I had the bad fuel. It still was stalling though yet now the check engine light came on. I scanned it and found 2 problems. P0102 and P0113 The MAF and IAT sensors may be bad. I then changed them both which got rid of the error codes but the truck is still stalling. Should I try to take off the fuel tank to empty it of any debry and check the fuel tank or could it be some other issue?

Did you unplug the battery for awhile to let the ECU reset?

I would agree, before you take half your truck apart, have your battery tested. Bad batteries create all sorts of mysteries and problems... I went through a phase of getting stranded in random dark and lonely places.

I tryed it and it ran for ten minutes this time then stalled. When I started it up again it stalled at the before time of 1-3 minutes.

I would vote with a battery that's dying.... Optima's despise heat, so be advised if you live in places that exceed 100. Regular batteries also despise heat, but are cheaper to replace.

Stalling on start up or randomly while driving?

Mine died while driving, then wouldn't restart. Didn't throw a code. Thought it was the alternator. Replaced that, drove around for 15 minutes, thought it was fixed. Two days later went to start it, it starts for one second, then immediately dies. Finally threw two codes: P0102 and P0113. Cleaned, then replaced the MAF but still the same problem. I hear the fuel pump, and it smells like gas after trying.

Is your vehicle a flex fuel vehicle?
