Hello, I’m looking into getting some aftermarket headlights for my 2012 SR5 dc, I have the in cab level adjuster and I’m not really concerned about losing the feature. My OEM headlights are leaky and foggy, even after restoring them and wet sanding not 100% back to normal. Does anyone have a suggestion on some headlight housings that will fit my truck with or without disabling the level adjuster? Morimoto are out of my budget, any help appreciated.

If you restore them then clear coat, they look new again, even if they are not crystal clear after restoring but before spraying clear coat. Clear coat will cover up any hairline scratches.

Also, depending on your budget, you can do the above and do HID projector retrofit at the same time. It’ll greatly improve the light output while retaining the level adjust. If you go this route, you’ll reseal your lights in the process.

Someone on here posted a step by step for retrofit DIY that I followed. It was pretty easy.

Attached is before and after. The 3rd photo shows how scuffed up they were before clear coat.

do the black headlight mod, its not as hard as it seems, i bought a set of oem headlights off ebay with the leveling motor and did the mod to them, came out decent.

I too was worried about losing that feature and this was the best option, other than like 1k for the morimoto ones

They aren’t too bad right now as far as clarity, I led swapped them a while ago so they are bright. Main reason is I just don’t like the stock look, did you have to bake them open? With that idea I may just paint the insides black

Had a guy do mine. He wet sanded then with 2k grit, then polished and coated them. They're like new. They were totally yellow before that. 20240207_070544.jpg

    Around $400 from theretrofitsource.com but that’s 2020 prices.

I can’t tell if the attached list has the bulbs on there or not. If I remember correctly, that may be the $55 charge below ballasts.

Separate order lists a splitter, this is a splitter so you have both low and high beams on at the same time for a “quad beam” effect. Super bright and worth it.

Clear coat used was from Spray Max. I originally tried Home Depot clear coat and it was junk with tons of orange peel. That’s why the lense is so scratched up in my original post and took a lot of time sanding off Home Depot clear. Spray Max kit, while expensive, uses a 2 part clear that mixes in the spray can right before you spray. It was a night and day difference.

I followed this post and he did an amazing job writing up the process: https://www.tundras.com/threads/how...w-morimoto-d2s-5-0-bi-xenon-projectors.44863/

I have the Vland's that @Shanet421 posted above. Love them. Updated my front end and gave me brighter lights. I could care less about a leveling feature I never used anyhow. You can manually adjust headlights if necessary.
