After I burned thru sets of the gold dewalt with the fancy pilot tip, I never bought bits from homies again.

 

Helmets are $600 these days? Ouch. Of course I haven't bought one since 1987. Still cheap price to avoid rehab.
I think Rev'it! is coming out with a vest that is backpack & water bag all in one. Seemed useful.

Yeah, the Dewalt bit sets you can buy in the fold-out drilldex that are gold in color aren't that great.

Blu-Mol and Milwaukee are the only bits I've had luck with while dealing with thick gauge mild steel, but I'd been meaning to try out Frenchy's reco, after the other Erik got a tub and IIRC thumbed them up.

Edit: The Blu-Mol "black oxide" bits specifically. I see they sell a gold bit also.

 

I’m waiting for the Milwaukee cobolt 15-piece drill bit set to go on sale before I buy.

Speed bump in the rebuild. While checking the pushrod length with the new valve train I decided to call Texas speed and verify that it was ok to reuse the stock 6.2 pushrods turns out we got the wrong cam . We ended up with another stock 6.2 AFM cam somehow. Dang it. So, swapping the cam again for the L8T 6.6L cam (the one we had the part number for in our list originally). Luckily we don’t have to pull the heads or the motor to do it. Just the timing cover and chain. Then the cam comes out pretty easy. Oh well, it’ll be here Saturday.

How much could it cost to buy a replacement faucet? What’s worse is the cold is on the left and hot on the right.

 

replacement faucet won't fit. They never fit. new parts never fit old houses. Vice grip & send it. 2 minutes vs. all day, 3 trips, & $200.
My parents live in the same house.

What are the bottom two parts?

 

Severely overpriced adjusters, but I'm preparing myself after your lesson. Advics makes the OEM wheel cylinders and they're only like $25/ea vs. like $80-100 Toyota OEM. But I cannot figure out who makes the adjusters, and my order was $25 short of free shipping, so I had to add something and figured "ah, what the hell". Knowing my luck, they'll discontinue the f'n things just like they did your year.
