When they restock I plan to order one. I emailed them in January asking for a timeline and haven't heard back yet.

Just lookup "oil filter drain tool" on Amazon. There's several models out there, but the one I bought is from "Powerworks". Was $11 I think.

I use a drain nipple coming with OE filter and a longer scrap metal tube I found in garage. $0, can't be more convenient.

Damn. That is not good news.

I tried to sign up for their newsletter this morning, and the website just pops up one of those "404" error things.

No it isn't. None of this is good news if you're wanting one.

I was hoping to buy one of their funnels, but guess I’ll be holding off.

If you had to take truck to dealer or shop for oil change, does this cause an issue?

I've used Fumoto valves on my vehicles since our '84 Cressida.12 vehicles later, never an issue on any of 'em.

How many people have had an issue getting the filter housing off after using the free dealer oil changes?

I finally ran out of free ones now planning to do it myself and just wondering how common it may be for them to over tighten it

Had one on my Tacoma for 12 years, will have one on my Tundra after the free oil changes are done.

If you haven't purchased one yet, I'd recommend getting the F133 instead of the F103. The F133 drains faster...

No & yes. The lever falls nicely into place that makes it difficult to open accidentally. But, if you are worried about it, you can install a mini hose clamp that prevents the valve from opening. I did this.

I found a pic comparing the Fumoto and EZ Valve. You can see how much larger the EZ ID is. And despite it having an o-ring, I use a regular drain bolt gasket. Valve is going on nine years with no issues.

I just used one on my mom’s RX350 today to make sure her vehicle is good to go for her trip to go see my brother and his family.

Next week I’ll use the valve on my Tundra to change the oil on it too.

I should have bought one like 15 years ago for the Tundra.

The Fumoto valve works great and makes oil changes way less messy, quite a bit faster, and if you want to take oil samples for analysis mid OCI facilitates that easily too.

I had to use a 2' cheater bar and my neighbor had to hold my legs. Destroyed one filter wrench (cheap one) and the plastic cap. Fortunately I had a metal one ready to go. Get a good filter wrench and do not insert ratchet. Use a socket. Gave the dealer a 0 on survey and service manager called me. I told him to give his goons a lesson in using torque wrenches. They also left 2 bolts out of skid. When I picked up the bolts he offered to replace the plastic cap. I should have taken it for a backup. He asked me if I wanted him to install the skid bolts. I said HELL NO.

Good point. And, that’s why I always fire ‘er up and haul ass in a counter-clockwise circle in the field for a few minute. Sloshes that last ounce of oil right out da hole.

You know there is a nut welded inside the pan right? I doubt the fumoto extends beyond that.
