Tried ordering one 8 weeks ago and the dealership canceled the order with no warning the day after I made the purchase....about a week or two weeks went by and it was still available for order so tried again (8/1/23), so I placed the order again. This time the parts department called me and said they have no idea when they will come off backorder but said they would be happy to hold onto my money for as long as I want, so I get a place in line for when they do come back and also said just let them know and they'll refund it anytime I want if I get tired of waiting. So here I am 6 weeks later the dealership has my money and who knows when it will show up, no choice but to wait at this point. Think there is some shortage of the type of rubber used to make them or something. Will be curious to see how long this takes......should have bought that one that was in stock back in May....still kicking my self for not pulling the trigger then when it was on the shelf. Oh I have the 6.5' bed too if that helps.

They offered the same to me, but I just said I'll take my money back when he said weeks/months and sounded so unsure.

Thanks I did see those and yeah they look nice especially for the cost and I would have one of them if rough country offered it in a 6.5' bed length.

I use a horse stall mat that I cut down to size.
Heavy, durable, and less expensive than the factory one - at least it was years ago when I bought it.

If anyone has a line on a 6.5' OEM mat(part #PT318-34221) in stock, please let me know. I checked several places and they are still on backorder.

ToyotaPartsDeal says it is available to purchase, which really just means a backorder. When I pressed for more info, they just kept repeating the same line.

I'm taking delivery of a new 2024 Platinum this morning. I wanted an OEM bed mat, but was told they couldn't even order it because of a stop sale order. Several in this thread suggested Black Armour and Gator aftermarket mats, but they're unavailable now too! Curious if it's a shortage of some material or if some liability issue popped up (maybe a liability lawsuit from an accident caused by a bed mat flying out of a truck). It's weird. All I can find are Chinese mats that look flimsy.

probably flying out. they are not heavy enough to negate the wind buffet in the bed when you dont have a bed cover at highway speeds

if want an idea, throw some leaves in the bed and watch them dance all over the place w/o a bed cover

I too purchased the Rough County mat and happy with the quality. Very similar to the OEM mat.

Maybe the OEM one, but I can guarantee the Black Armour mat isn't going anywhere. That sucker is 1/2" thick and weighs around 75 pounds.

The stop sale was due to a fire at their manufacturers production facility. No liability or anything. Dont think the facility will be back up and running until Q2 2024 (i think)

I have an OEM I’d sell cheap. But shipping might be pricey. It’s heavy! Placed a bed rug so would let it go to a good home.

I'd be interested in your OEM mat if it fits a 2024 Platinum 5.5' bed? Where are you located?

3/4 thick is nice, what is the weight on yours ?

Indeed, love the BA ! The RC says it's 3/4, yet doesn't look as heavy and only 100.00 ?? Paid around 300.00 for the BA.

Good to know, thanks! I don’t have many options so it looks like it’s worth the wait.

Another happy camper with the RC mat. Thick, heavy-ish, lays flat, and only $100. Short bed only though.
As long as you don't mind RC's name and logo molded into it.

Have you had it long? Mine was pretty potent when I first got it, but it seemed to be okay after a month or so.
Mines under a bed cover, but I don't get hit with off-gassing molded rubber stink anymore when I open the gate.

Yea I’ve had it for about 8 months and the smell is still as strong as day 1 unfortunately.

I got the RC mat and it is wonderful. Yes the smell, mines eventually went away after a few months but initially it did smell. So if you have topper, Tonneau, maybe air it out? Another thing I noticed about the RC is it came with this oily film if you get it wet (see my video). What I did was washed the car and washed the mat once it was in the car. That washed off the residue and smell died along with it. I am not sure if that is the source of the smell too but its a strong plastic/rubber smell. Check out my video here: Rough Country Bed Mat for 2022+ Tundra (youtube.com)
