Sorry to hear this Ray. She's lucky to have such a great brother. As I get older with kids of my own I realize that the relationship they have with each other is the bond that lasts.

Sure, I'll throw it in the dishwasher and clean it up first. I don't think the wife will mind if I do that the next time she does the dishes.

Thing’s have settled down a lot. Bob is upset and grumpy. I don’t think he’s aware that he’s not coming back. I’ve been doing odds and ends around my sisters place. He tries not to be “handicapped”. Fell down yesterday. I’m anxious to get home

Can't blame him... I'm going kicking and screaming into my twilight too, when it gets here. If all of it is turning you a bit sideways, a few weeks of knifemaking when you get home might get you back in a good place.

She is very fortunate to be able to afford this level of care. But it doesn’t change the fact that Bob doesn’t believe he needs to be there and I don’t think he knows how capable they are here. When my sister and I were out to dinner Sunday he called himself to 911 and went to the hospital. We got there and they had a catheter in and we took him back to the care center. They can install and remove catheters. They can even do a bladder scan and bloodwork. Damn him …
    With love, you know

Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start

Pretty sure I found Gene’s choc. chip cookie recipe while reading a bedtime story tonight. He got it out of the “If you give a mouse a cookie” book.
    F693AC68-FFAD-4D29-8D18-A650E5075356.jpg

Pretty solid recipe. Tough to keep the edges from burning when they’re this big. Could use some pointers if anyone has any. A proper cookie sheet might help.

Have a great week ahead :cookiemonster::cheers:

Those look pretty damn good, certainly better than the ones I made at T2S. This is actually where I got the recipe, but I just use regular flour because I never have bread flour at the house.

The 'burning' (it's really minimal) is happening due to the dough spreading and flattening out on the edges as it gets hot; you could try baking them on some parchment paper which may hold the dough's shape a little better as they start to heat up :notsure:
