So it’s not a dedicated backhoe/front loader. It’s a tractor with those accessories.

22-27 hp isn’t much compared to 90-100 hp backhoes.

 

It's just a .27 acre rectangle. knock down / terrace some hill in front & dump in back.

That Ford Tractor says made in Japan. Maybe it runs like a Toyota
Something like this you can buy, use & resell for what you paid or more. Take longer to getter done, but time is free when it's fun.

 

I can't get my ducks in a row fast enough, but I may just call & see if it didn't sell on Monday.

 

I didn’t see an initial bid on it. I question whether it can dig a hole greater than 3-4 feet deep. Probably useful for small stuff but no major renovations.

 

Rock rings are totally a thing. They're different than beadlocks but can be combined and are meant to protect the lip of the wheel and valve stem as @shifty` said.

My faux beadlocks have a few rashes on them and the valvestem is a little bit protected, but they get water and mud stuck in them.




The faux beadlocks on my pop's GMC don't have the same lip and the valve stem is fully exposed. Plus they have the bolts I think are ugly.

Seems to be a diesel looking at 1900's on ebay.
Could be 2wd or 4wd.

With chickens & roosters all over the neighborhood, I might as well have a tractor. ...and Peacocks.

I need those on my Pius. Cracked a valve stem on the car on said hill I want to tractor into oblivion.

That's interesting. You typically don't see the bolts protrude past the "ring" on any wheel. I wouldn't swap to a metal valve stem on that wheel though. A buddy of mine had those fancy apex valve stems and snapped one in half. At least the rubber ones flex and have a shot of moving out the way.

 

Yeah, the latter is what I'm referring to on the brodozers; the rims with bolts that don't do anything, but look like redneck bling.
I didn't know the former had removable rings prior to today. That, I can get behind.

 

Over 6 gallons in oil to maintain!

 

Would have other uses to me.
I'm a curmudgeon in training, particularly when I get annoyed.
I'm not above letting the diesel tractor "warm up" for an extended period - upwind - of the neighbors patio when their parties get too loud, too late, too annoying....
You know, other uses.

Same can pretty much be said for an excavator, just way more money tied up until you sell, but they hold their value.
I’ve got two very small machines, little Kubota 4x4 tractor with a front loader and various attachments, and a small Bobcat excavator with a few buckets. The excavator is so much better at digging and moving material around, if I need to move material around the property I dig with the excavator and load it in a little dump trailer that the Kubota pulls around.
I had a JD 450c crawler/loader with a backhoe before, the hoe pretty much sucked, it could dig a hole but that was about all I found it good for.

 

Yeah, Porkchop has always been drivable. I just didn't anymore. And Bacon started right up after 3 years of not running. It just has a coolant hose leaking. Those 2 drive fine.

My across the alley neighbor's wife pulled up as we had the trucks parked in the second pic. Asked if I was moving. Said nah, just selling them. I need to drill and anchor my chain attachment thing in soon.

And congratulations, yes. It's sad to see them go, but the dude I sold them to is one of the SHO gurus. Dude had one of the first turbocharged SHOs. It's funny, he lives 2 miles south of where I go to the lake every summer, so I'm gonna stop by and check on them in June and August.

and now you can afford to buy some truck parts to put in the shed so it doesn't blow away when the next twister comes through.

 

They may not on some wheels. On FGV’s SCS wheels and my Methods, the ring is removable, I’m quite certain, though open to being wrong, I don’t think I am. On some generic ass malldozer Fuel or Rhino wheels? Maybe not.

CONGRATS DUDE! I’m sure - as a dude who sold one of my favorite projects when I’d have loved to keep it but I was bogged down and my able to finish to my desire - you must feel like a huge burden is lifted and you can move on. But also, sucks knowing you may never find a similar project (or quality of project) in the future.
