I really like the sound of my DD 12". I listened to a bunch of Youtube videos and narrowed it down between 10" and 12". I went for the slightly quieter version, but I think the 10" would sound great too and not be too loud.... even though I am too old.

I asked them, said 10” is slightly louder than TRD under throttle, but quieter at idle

    To the OP, congrats!

For the surprising responses bashing DD, I'm not looking to pick a fight here, but unless there's something I'm missing, DD has been the gold standard for Tundra exhausts for a long time and has been a standup vendor on this site.

Copy. There's competition now. That's a good thing. I just don't understand the bashing of someone or their product because there is a new player to the market, over a decade later. Pricing has gone up, have you seen the pricing for the GCS kits? Have you bought groceries? But to bash a product and the vendor that has stood behind their product (to include the moving goal posts of personal taste in sound), I just don't get it. Any other vendor and that's an entirely new purchase. I've taken advantage and ended up with something not offered on his site as part of it (21" for towing). My experience is that he's a stand up guy and owner.

Are DD exhausts failing? Is he not standing behind his product? Are people suddenly getting ghosted? What am I missing to warrant such a harsh review of someone else's purchase?

I interpreted the DD bashing as some good natured ribbing based on some other recent threads that have been on the forum.

From what I understand, Dirty Deeds is still widely regarded as the King Dingaling of the Tundra exhaust market. Definitely have seen some others join in lately, but their performance has not been proven to the masses yet.

Ignore the noise, I think people are just bustin’ balls.

I got the 8" for my 2017 back in 2018 and installed it in my driveway then when I traded for my 2020 I just had the dealer swap it over. I love the sound also I'm not running a resonator.

And with that, the TRD is known for a helicopter-type drone..

    I've had DD 8, 10, and 12, it's a long story.
The 10 with the resonator is the sweet spot IMHO..
It is what I run currently.

I'd run it a week or two without the resonator and see how you like it.
If you want to soften it up a little install the rez..

    Good luck..

^ Proof some of the Gen 3 guys are miserable fucks and wished they could have the V8 rumble.
This one put $1K+ fart can on his Gen 3 V6 and he says DD is overpriced...
He won't see my post because I'm on his ignore list....:hattip:

Keith's BAM is the best choice for a V8 Tundra.
Best customer service I've encountered in years.
If you want it louder or more quiet, he will swap it out, granted you pay shipping both ways.
I've done it, three times for various reasons.
It was not Keith's fault, it was my indecision as to why I swapped it so many times.

As @Rngr188 stated, my OEM muffler is in the attic.
I'll bolt it back on if I ever trade the truck.

    Am I a @dirtydeeds fan boy?
    Yep, I am..

I'm not bashing or dismissing your opinion, but did you have a bad experience with DD? Just wondering what drives the comments and the custom anti-DD profile quote.

I have the TRD and once in a while regret not going DD to keep my low end torque. I do have helicopters chasing me on the highway with the windows down.

I have DD's 3 inch dual exhaust with x-pipe. I've had it since 2012 or 2013. It's held up great and is .095 aluminized steel. I opted for this since we don't have salted roads and cost. I call Keith occasionally to see how he's doing and just chat Tundra crap. Plus he can usually get some products at cost and passes the savings on to you. He stands behind his product and will take the time to see what you need.
The designs of other companies, especially SPdperformance, have given me some ideas to switch up my exhaust. If I don't like it I can always go back.

Ah that explains it, the bashers are 3rd gen guys with their V6s lol. Nothing is going to get a V6 to sound nice. Even though alot of people said the sound note of the DD exhaust was actually decent when Keith debuted the sound for the 3rd gen.

Not a bash but I gotta say I wasn’t exactly impressed with the build quality of my DD resonator. The hole into the flange looked like it had been gnawed on by a rat and the welds weren’t any better than what I can lay down.

With that said, it’s held up fine the last couple of years, it worked great, and it’s under the truck so no one sees it so why do I care? Never have understood why people get so hung up over things like that. It’s an exhaust. Does it leak? No. Great. They are all way over priced these days no matter what vendor for what they are.

Big DD fan here, too. I was shocked to see a certain post criticizing a product (and as a result, the person). A fact check seemed in order.

I don't have DD exhaust but I've talked to Keith over the phone about shims in the diffs and he took the time to help me out. Says a lot about a businessman that he will talk to someone who isn't a current customer.
