I sold that one because I wanted a high roof shell. I bought a high roof and it leaked like crazy so I returned it and temporarily ran this bedrack. I only bought this shell because it was $500 and white which is really cheap out here.

 

Whewwww that's a lot of on off, on off, on off hahaha. Hope you find the right high roof for you eventually. I agree prices out here are crazy for shells

Yea I was bummed when I got burned by the camper shell place. I had a trip that weekend and needed a way to mount my tent so I bought this bedrack. Since we’re not sleeping in the back not sure I’ll get a high roof which will make me really miss my windows.

I already tried. The guy was open to selling the cap. He asked what was my offer. I offered $200 and I can see in FB messenger that he never bothered to even look at my offer, to this day. That was like two weeks ago.

 

Drop another offer to bump it up? "$250? I just see it'll need new paint, and I know that'll cost me another $400-500..."

 

I can't tell, looks to me like it's been sitting under a stand of hackberries that are infested with wooly aphids for a year or two. Might just be all the honeydew they drop.

 

I might, but money's really tight right now. So I may just bide my time longer. Maybe I'll finally find a white one in good condition nearby. Nothing wrong with my softopper, so I should probably focus on more pressing issues, like my wheel bearings, possibly pinion bearing, LBJs, and tie rods.

It's time to re-seal my topper. It's leaking worse than it did in the past. Has anyone bought any double bulb recently? I only see it on Amazon unfortunately.
