Yall do remember the difference between a BMW and a porcupine, right?

Yes, the ultimate driving machine vs the ultimate stabbing machine. Also, if you handle a porcupine with care it won’t break you financially like a BMW. Did I get it?

Those are great answers! My traditional answer is that with a porcupine, the pricks are all on the outside!

The looks have grown on me, with decent mods I think certain colors are sexy.
One of my issues is they did make it less utilitarian with shorter bed rails, worse turning radius, tech that can be troublesome and gasp, lack of tow hooks.
Another issue is, “it’s me, not you”. I’m getting a little older so want some bougie stuff- 14” monitor, heated seats, cams. But the first time the thing wouldn’t let me back up with my door open I’d be beotching about the tech.
    I still want one. :fistbump::fistbump:

Have seen them on the road.. but I’m not sold on it. Looks a bit too luxurious/fancy to me. I think those are the word I’m looking for? Doesn’t really look “ trucky” to me.

I also can’t afford one! So pay no mind to me.

I can't stand the looks of the Gen 3! Yuk!

I like the looks of the 24 Taco instead. That's one sharp looking truck and so much better than the ugly Tundra! :)

I yearn for the day Toyota decides to make "throwback" trucks and throws a 5.7 with a six speed or something in a shell resembling a first gen

The last good looking fullsize truck was the first gen Raptor. It really pains me to admit this, but Ram has the best looking fullsize trucks now. Still not saying they look good though.

Gen 1 owners hate Gen 2 trucks and Gen 2 owners hate Gen 3 trucks and Gen 3 owners hate Gen 1 trucks.

Is this the circle of life Simba?

At least I think we can all agree that Ford trucks suck.

I love this thread in the “Tundras” forum.
Enjoy all 3 gens of the Tundra plus the T100 prior. Only able to own a 3rd gen.
Also a fan of all 4 gens of the Taco also the Hilux’s prior. Owned 6 of the first 3 gens total and will add a 4th gen when I’m able to.

Hey dad in the grave. This is the face of the next generation of Toyota enthusiasts.

If you put a gun to my head and said "buy an American truck, or die." I'd buy a Ford over the other two anyday.

My favorite feature of the 3rd gen is the new engine you get at 40k miles.

If you put a gun to my head and said "buy an American truck, or die", I'd buy a Tundra. It's the most American truck on the market.

    https://www.cars.com/articles/2023-...ndex-which-cars-are-the-most-american-467465/

I've also owned Ram, Ford and GM trucks. Ford was easily the worst of the bunch not just in terms of issues with the trucks but with how shitty their dealerships are.
