It looks like the bed specifications are identical.
    Inside floor length- 77.6
    Inside bed width- 58.7
    wheel well- 48.7

I have the opportunity to buy a Smart cap that is off of a 6.5 ft 2020 Toyota tundra. I have a 2022 Tundra and I'm thinking the cap should fit? Anyone have any insight?

The only difference is gonna be the line between the cab and the cap, if there is one. If you got no issue, then grab it.

I don't think the bed dimensions are going to be an issue. There are several people here, especially early 3rd Gen owners who bought in late 2021/early 2022, that were using used toppers from Chevys, Fords, you name it just to have a bed cap when there was nothing on the market yet.

I think the issue you might run into with the Smart Cap is the design of front where it conforms to the curve of the cab. The 22+ is more squared off in the back vs the 2.5 gens. See the pics below. These were the best I could find to illustrate my point.

If you have a chance to test fit it, that would be ideal...but I'm guessing you don't.

This is a 2020 Tundra (that pic is from forum member @cook2kill)

It doesn't look like there is much of a difference between the two smart cap edges on when it comes to the top corners, maybe it could just be mounted back an inch or so if the cab is too close to the front of the topper. However, I am slightly concerned about the bed rail dimensions. If they changed the rail dimensions there's a possibility that the cap wouldn't sit snug, correct? I can try to get this fit tested, but I need to drive 8hr round trip :/ So, I dont want to drive all the way out until I have some more solid evidence.
