Blind spot

New member owner of 2023 tundra limited dual cab. I have a question my blind spot in my mirrors are working fine but no audio alerts inside.

 

I don’t think Toyota has an audible sound when someone is in your blind spot with the BSM. It’s only the light that lights up indicating and it will blink if you turn your blinker on. But I’ve have never heard a sound with the BSM

 

Audio does work when backing the truck and there is a vehicle approaching. When your directional signal is activated and a vehicle is in your bind spot audio sound should be heard as well. All vehicles work that way except new tundras.

 

I have a 2023 Platinum and in the set up screen it says do you want just light or light and seat vibration. I turned on both but the seat never vibrates notifying
notifying me of a vehicle in my blind spot.

 

Personally, I'm really happy I don't get BSM beeping. There are many dual turn lanes around me and one of the kids car go nuts when you put your turn signal on in them.
I'm mixed on the backup ones. I can see the car coming, and the one after that, so no need to beep at me. There are times, like in a parking lot, where they pick up a person, so I do see the value.
