@FrenchToasty how are the new gears treating you? What are the RPMs around 40, 70-90?

I don’t know much about a lot but just looking at all that rust says that may be an issue?

I’m not sure on 40 or 90 but around 2500-2600 doing 65-70, took some getting used to being in that rpm range, but the power and get up is pretty awesome with minimal throttle input. It’s been a little rainy but not raining the last few mornings to work and it will spin the tire so much I have to get out of the throttle to hook up

Honestly I'm not sure what the code was anymore, it came on and off for a couple years even after new sensors all around. I thought the same about the exhaust gases but it's been like 6 months and it hasn't come back.

Only thing they replaced was from the cats to the Y, had a pipe welded in place of the resonator and a new muffler about 4 years ago.

Which mod do you think made a bigger difference long tubes or gears?

I don’t have long tubes but I’d assume gears all the way.

I got them shorties which may be nothing but Ypipe, 12hole injectors, all the bells n whistles didn’t come close to gears after the 33’s were on. Best option for us commifornia folks at least.

Definitely an issue , but one that has nothing to do with kicking my p0430. They are not leaking.... yet.
The whole truck is Full of rust issues, I'm kind of just comforting her on her way to the crushero_O

Got a peak at my frame today too.
Pretty sure this spooge is the early treatment Toyota did to our frames (front boxed in rails)

Splatter some grease on it after sanding it down. She’ll be fine as PHM would say.

Tho that spot where your CO2 sensor connects looks like it’s potentially leaking.

Oh you won’t hear it. Had a similar issue once. Turned out to be the welding on flange of the Cat. Slightest leak and the sensor was going off. Was a brand new Cat, warranty replaced and passed smog. Reason I assume it was a leak was cause Cats were new, worked fine, took off for headers and while putting them back on I slightly bend the flange. No leaks visible at all but sensor knew something was off.

I get what your saying, but my code is specific to bank 2, and bank 2 is reading "rich" or higher voltage spikes. If oxygen was being sucked in by venturi effect anywhere, the readings would be "lean" or low voltage.

Just did a rear forward-> front->X to back rotate. First rotate since DT scuffed up my new wheels and told me they didn't. Forgot they fucked up 2 of my splined lug nuts for me. I just don't under stand why it's so hard to have the socket on before the WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM trigger is pulled. Changed the oil a week ago or there abouts.

Sooo many wires behind the new head unit... I stuffed her like a Christmas turkey! For real, I can't even direct the air back to the "face" setting lol. I'll pull it apart and mess with it in the near future, push some shit out of the way and make it work again, but I never take it off defrost anyway. Harness is back the way it was supposed to be and that's what matters in the long run.

I nabbed some power acoustik, double din unit for cheap... I know, I know, "you get what you pay for", and that phrase always rings truest when it comes to car audio, but I wanted something slightly fancier that still plays fuckin cds...why is that so hard to find?!

Couple thoughts on this HU. Biggest upgrade I thought I would get using a more full band EQ (don't @ me bro, I know built in EQ ain't where it's at lol), but i think my single din Sony captured a better range with the basic low-mid-hi. Plus, the HU I just put in might be the first HU to sound worse with "loud" turned on! It doesn't seem have the same frequency range either, especially on the lows, but now might be the time to finally install the matching, infinity 6.5s, in the rear doors.

It'll do the job for now, until I can upgrade to an older alpine or excelon...that still plays discs!
