As most of us know by now, the climate control system is pretty terrible in these trucks. The blowers really only feel like they’re working set at Lo.

It’s between 20-40° outside right now and it’s heater season, but a lot of times I burn up in the truck.

Over the past few days, with or without the AC on, it’s blowing hot air!! All the way down to 60° I’m getting the same warm air blowing (barely) out of the vents. But once you go to Lo, boom, freezing cold. Anyone else noticing this?!

Just when I get over one flaw, I find another.

So I can’t agree. Obviously there’s changes from year to year and differences between models but my 2.5 gen heater can make the cab feel like a sauna on high heat and the AC will chill it down colder than a meat locker. Maybe there’s something wrong with your truck. I don’t think it’s a Toyota problem.

The piss poor blower performance is a known issue on 22+trucks, doesn’t apply to other year trucks. Something is definitely farther off with mine, but curious if it’s isolated to just mine.

Mine works great. The most "set it and forget it" of any vehicle I've got right now. I love the simple paddles for temp, fan and auto vs the more screen driven systems on other cars.

I’ve seen this, it’d be nice if they added increased blower all the time haha.

I think this new temp issue might be a dealer visit though. It wasn’t always like this.

Mine works great; no better or worse than my ‘14 or ‘18. Sounds like you have either a setting issue, or a problem that needs addressed at the dealer

I know if the coolant temp is not high enough it also somehow effects how the blower/output works/ not in auto mode either. To me I think it forces more warm air to the foot wells vs my past f150 was less on the feet and too much out the vents when in floor/vent mode so my feet were always cold.
I put mine in tow haul mode for a couple of miles and it makes all the difference in warm up times.

Haha no, but I believe it was changed at the dealer, SO THEY SAY. I’ll check it when I get it in the shop to grease suspension.

If I keep off Auto and manually set the fan, compressor, intake and output it blows plenty of air and works great. Auto seems to confuse the duct valving

I have issues with the system when the driver is set to 64 and passenger at 73, a/c on. I have it on face and feet and my truck blows air at 133 degrees on the feet. Fell asleep and woke up to my feet completely red and burning like a sunburn. Freaking hurt for over 24 hours. Toyota had a master mechanic come out and said it’s normal.

Another issue is when I have the temp set to “HI” and the blower all the way up it blows at about 25% compared to when the temp is set to “LO”

LOL....okay. If it is 133 degrees there will be more than you feet burnt.......like you would be dead like a dog left in a locked car in the sun.

I have several videos on my phone and need to figure out how to post them. I used an AC digital thermometer to read it.here’s an example of what it was coming out of the face vent.

Not sure about the temp thing but the blower in my 2024 platinum is crap compared to my 2014 FJ Cruiser. The FJ has 4 fan settings, the truck has like what 6bars or something. The truck on high with ac is like maybe the second or third setting in the FJ, when on heat and high it’s like the first fan setting in the FJ. The FJ blows you out the back compared to the truck which is like an asthmatic blowing through a straw after running a 5k marathon. WTF. Luckily the ac seats help cool you down while the blower struggles to cool the cab down.

I find if I throw it in AUTO it moves way more air. So I do my cool down in auto then once at desired temp I put it back to normal

Bought my tundra this past july, 2024 limited... now being winter in Central PA I've discovered the ventilation only blows hot air, and no matter the fan setting it seems to be not pushing much air. I put the temp to low and it blows cold air. There's No in between. I took it into the dealer, they say nothings wrong and its a known issue. They suggest I contact toyota HQ and make a complaint. If enough people complain HQ may have a recall. Has anyone heard of a fix?
