Are those the keys to your tundra? They look more like sienna or 4runner keys. Is that what the dealership gave you for keys to your tundra?

When I bought my truck, and had completed all the paperwork, my salesman asked me if I've ever lost a car key or FOB. When I said "no", that's when he informed me that I was only getting one FOB. It was almost as if I would have answered "yeah, I lose them all the time" a 2nd FOB would have magically been available.

I've also heard that Toyota Parts departments have them in stock, if you're willing to pay for them. Something seems really fishy about this whole thing. Why would they be in stock for purchase when so many of us are still waiting for our 2nd FOB that's supposed to be included with our trucks?

Mine is a 6/23 build, so I still have a few more months to wait, apparently.

They stock them for people that answer yes to question #1.

That chart that was floating around this thread says Q1 of next year for us 6/23 builds.

To make along story short, checked with Service today when at dealer for warranty work. They said that my truck was delivered with two FOBs according to Toyota - I received two keys and one FOB. After talking to my Salesman, Customer Service and dealer Service again, my Service Advisor is “working on it”. Glad I read about this issue and glad I checked.

Build 11/23, purchased 12/23. Was told 60 days to get FOB by dealer.

Totally understand. The dealer that I bought from is not the one I usually go to but they had the truck I wanted. Glad I did go because of the documentation screw up.

Still waiting for my 2nd FOB, been 7 1/2 months and the dealer and Toyota are completely silent and NOT returning my calls...... I have become very disappointed in Toyota..... i guess i have learned my lesson ..... refuse to buy from Toyota unless or untill you have everything in hand that is supposed to come with the vehicle. I consider Toyota and the dealer as lying, they have been saying for over a year to customers, "buy it now and we'll get you it shortly" NOT!!!!

I've been waiting 5 months so far. Still not available yet. The phone App did indicate that it's now available but the dealer hasn't received yet.

My salesman told me it took 9 months to get his FOB for his 2023 Tundra. I used my warranty issues for a chance to talk to Service Advisor who sent me to my salesman for a "We Owe" form and ultimately referred me to Customer Service since my "paperwork" somehow was screwed up. I now have agreement to provide me with the second FOB when my rear diff replacement is resolved. Evidently, they have them in stock in parts, but Toyota Customer Service had to approve it so that the dealer isn't charged for the FOB. Salesman told me if CS didn't resolve it with SA, he would talk to the GM and resolve it (GM would pay for it). All this for a FOB they owe me...
