3D Printable Tundra Model

Amazing work man. I've started Dabbling in Fusion 360 and wow what you're doing takes serious skill. God Speed.

 

Re-worked the hood a little bit.

Idea for the frame:

The "crossmembers" and main sections print separately and would be glued together. Tailpipe(s) would print in this orientation and glue in also.

What scale do you plan on making it?

 

Once I have everything modeled and ready to roll, I'll make it available to download in 1:10, 1:18, and 1:24. If someone wants something else I'll see what I can do.

 

Nice. I don’t have a 3d printer but if you will sale them printed in in for a 1:10 scale

 

You have a project in mind? Just curious. About 2 weeks ago I finally bought the Tundra scale body for my 4x4 Slash.

 

Not at all just a desk piece for my work desk lol. But would be nice to mount on a slash lol

 

Depending on how it scales, I will absolutely try and put this body on a Traxxas TRX4M. The wheelbase will likely be the biggest issue.

 

I wonder if I could get it under my Axial Wraith

That would be sweet. I have to pull my Slash out of the garage and work on the Tundra body trimming. It should look nice when im done since I run Stampede wheels on it. We have 10 cars in the collection now lol. The Kraton is being a little b**** though lol.

 

I think he is going to get a lot of "how much for one?" requests.

 

It's amazing what goes into the designs of these things. I'm just glad belted tires are coming out now.

I have not completed it... those pictures are from 2019 and it looks the same and never had power put to it. All parts were new and I built it from pieces, no kit

 

You will be able to have dual, single, or no exhaust on your model.

 

You got me thinking now…. I never put my lipos in storage mode…. Ughh and most are those stupid Traxxas ones that are expensive yikes

 

If you make the cab a two piece shell that is glued together (floor is one piece that fits inside the shell) organic tree supports will make printing it easier.

 

Trying to make it so that the pillars, floor and roof print separate to avoid supports. We’ll see though, this will likely go through multiple revisions.

 

Still a little ways out, but if anyone is interested in test printing once we get to that point, let me know.
