Can anyone who has replaced their belt tensioner on a 07-13 5.7 Tundra confirm these two bolts I believe 12 & 6mm are both normal threaded or reverse threaded ???
I know the pulley is reverse threaded for a fact.
They bolt to the timing chain cover & I can't imagine why they would be reverse threaded.
However I also don't want to break it off $$$$$$IMG_20231205_031934572.jpg

yes to both. They're not that tight. I watched I do cars on youtube and watched him pull it before I did.

They are both normal thread . Be careful not to strip out the 6mm hex bolt . I had that happen to me and ended up using a torx bit to get mine out . Found one little bit bigger than the hex opening and tapping it in and using a small impact .

Will be doing mine along with the idler pulley and new belt this week. She squealing on me . So if replacing the entire tensioner pulley no need to worry about the reverse thread?

yeah, possibly the only reverse thread is the outer tie rods.

Sooo.. lets say that STRICTLY THEORETICALLY SPEAKING... someone were to strip said 6mm bolt.. Anybody know anything about the bolt dimensions or have a replacement number? This theoretically person does have access to a local fastener company, but they are only open M-F which may make it difficult to fix it on a Saturday. Theoretically..

After some digging, a part number was provided on another forum, but it pulls up as a propeller shaft bolt. toyota 90110-08036 possibly superseded by 90110-A005.

So, of all places, the guy at the parts counter at my local dealership was able to locate the bolt for me. On the diagram, it looks like a standard hexagonal bolt but it showed up the correct part requiring a hex key/allen key. I may have tossed the receipt but I'll go see if I can find the actual part number used. I believe the part listed above is correct; lexuspartsnow shows the correct bolt and associated parts are tensioner, idler pulley, water pump, etc.
