Growing old is not for fun. My Dad would tell me "Son, you will understand one day". I do.................That said, still a kid a heart. I still do most of my wrench work myself. Just pop a few high-powered aspirins and drive on.

If some jack wagon were to t-bone me in 5 years and total my current truck, I'd be looking at the 4th gen. but only after the new engine has proven itself in that platform. I'd definitely have to go down a few steps on the trim ladder, though.

honestly the only feature when i was shopping that i wanted was a bigger backseat. Was cross-shopping loaded ‘23 OR Taco’s and 23 Tundra’s. It Was an easy choice when it boiled down to that one necessity. Also, the only reason i was shopping was cause a jackwagon dealer tech forgot to torque my lugnuts after a tire rotation….

My thoughts after reading through current posts. First, family is big time Toyota fans. We've owned a lot of their cars with my experience mostly centered on Rav4's or 4Runners.

I am the type of person who drives through a problem. A year of working with Toyota on alignment issues --4 alignments with no joy. They did cover and replace with new OEM tires 2 months ago. Based on this, just researched and found what appears as the correct alignment specs. Today, I had it realigned to those specs. What a difference and will track tire wear supporting correct alignment.

So, driving home from the shop today. About 100 miles on the interstate...gave it a lot of thought of what this Tundra is to me. First, it's only a truck........not perfect but does fulfill everything I want in a full-size truck. MPG today rolling 70--85 at 18.1MPG (hand calculated from Pump). It's comfortable to drive, handles quiet well with good brakes. I can load all my gear in the bed with room for five adults in the crew cab. It is a PIA in parking lots and turns like a tank. I just take it slower and learned to use the camera system. I do have minor wind noise, but what car doesn't? For my off the road needs----this year hunting, running up to one of my favorite spots, ran the improved trail just as fast as my 17 TRD Pro 4 Runner.

Last comment/observation. Family member uses Tundra's for business, and I've driven many of the 2nd and 2.5 gen tundras. Nice trucks for sure, love the V8 sound but this 3rd generation just flat smokes them.....IMO.

Will the 4th-gen Tacoma have the same towing technology and capacity as the current Tundra? :monocle:

Didn't say it was a Tundra or Tacoma, don't care about scheme, just adding to the conversation and a price point in time.

It's true. If I had a kid when I was 20 they'd be 20. Easily could have a kid (or 2) of their own.

Trust me, I still think I'm twenty until I'm around a bunch of 20 years olds. Then I'm like "Phuck that. I'm definitely not 20."

A Taco couldn't tow a hot dog out of the neighborhood tramp. The back seat also doesn't have enough room for extracurricular activities.

    That's why I drive a Tundra.

You guys don't get the point of the meme. Features. Not size. Not towing. The bougie stuff that is whined about in the 3rd gen section.

Only nancy soy boys who drive up on a parking lot curbs for flex pics while sipping on an overpriced italian themed caffeinated drink with whipped cream and caramel in it are whining about a lack of bougie stuff.

The rest of us are driving a sweet ass truck.

I know why Toyota did not add the iforce v6 in the Tacoma. Because there will be very little reason to buy the Tundra . It's absolutely bs that they had to out in a 4 banger for 'emmisions' when they have the v6 in the tundra or are there different requirements between the si
Actually us real Italians have a straight shot of espresso followed by carbonated water . And were not soy boys - that designation is for 'manga cakes' ( cake eaters - american city boys). Not sure what bougie stuff is ?

It ain't about size, it's about the tuning. I have more than twice your horsepower and torque.

Uh, what kind of Canadian math are you using to get double? You have more, but not double of either.

My bad. I was looking at the small engine. I still have 100+ more horsepower and almost double the torque.

And my dick is bigger. And my dad can beat up your dad. :p
