I have been discussing the possibility of a group buy of the Alcon bbk kit with Chris for the 07 to 22+ trucks. This is just the beginning stages so don't get too excited,my question is would you want the deal to be on a complete f&r kit or just the front only. This is not CHEAP even with a discount so don't sign up if you can't afford the buy in or your other half won't let you.
I am trying to get an estimate of who WILL purchase and work out a % savings by that number,the bigger the number of people that are committed the better the savings. Because of how expensive these are I think we need to start with
at least 20 people....at retail they would be looking at 120k so a good chunk of money. Let me know what everyone thinks,I tow and am looking at these for my next upgrade.

I could be swayed…i need to delve into parts interchangeably for wear items, rotors and pads etc…

 

The emergency setup can fit a factory pad if needed (aka to get you home). The replacement parts are not cheap but this definitely wears much less than any normal setup. Over a year of hard miles on the old mans rig and they've barely shown any slight wear.

 

Can this be powdercoated? I know they are ductile iron calipers and I've had Mov'it calipers in smiliar finish rust pretty bad in the sale.

 

They do have color options. Not sure if that's an option for this GP but I don't see why not

One uses M12 and the other M14 bolts

 

That's the only thing I could see, too. Those m14 bolts must be made of gold - $1200 worth of gold..

 

Thanks for the response guys this is just the beginning stages of talks it might never happen was just trying to get ideas to work up a proposal for Chris. I will ask about colors but my feelings are if we add too many variations it won't be something they would do but I will ask.

So here is what I have so far, we can get 15% off the retail price for front,rear, or a full kit with 10 people.
He will allow us to mix and match ie...5 front and 5 rears is 10
5 front and rear is 10
We can mix and match as long as we have 10 confirmed buyers.
There are 3 different kits....07 -15(xk50 with m12caliper bolts)
16-21(xk50 with m14 caliper bolts)

And the 2022 + models ........He can also offer powder coat any color as an added expense.I will TRY to get this discounted but it is done with a separate vendor, understand he completely disassembles the caliper before powder coating then reassembles them. They are an additional 750 per pair. Shipping is FREE for continental US.
Tax will be charged in CA and FL only ....Shipping outside the US will be 60% discounted rate from "Street Rate"
