No, the connector only plugs into a android head unit as far as I'm aware

Again, can anyone please confirm, if the OEM 360 camera view also works (in addition to the backup camera) with this upgrade?

Not sure if this will help but I only have the back up camera and on the 14inch display I bought off eBay there still is one more connector that is empty. Could be for the other cameras

I didn’t realize you could get the OEM 360 cameras without the 14” display. I kind of thought it was all part of the same package.

I actually have a base SR-5 OR, 23 Sequoia. 360 camera is standard on all Sequoia models.

Ahh. I missed you have a Sequoia. Makes sense because I'm pretty sure you can't get the 360 cams on a Tundra without the 14" screen. I'm surprised the Sequoia's don't come with the 14" screen as standard then.

You are correct, I think all Sequoia's except the out-and-out base/my model (SR-5 without the Premium package), come with the 14" screen.
Btw, I was at the dealership for my free maintenance service this afternoon, and according to them it is not possible to swap the displays, but I doubt that, and might still roll the dice.

Ouch. I'm sorry. I would be cursing up a storm if I got that far to find out there wasn't one there.

This is disappointing….guess I better go see if I have the harness…I incorrectly assumed that all the trucks had it.

My guess is you don’t have heated seats?? That’s sucks man cuz my sr5 has the convience package and off road package and it had the extra plug.

On a lighter note. If anyone is thinking of getting a unit off of eBay the seller is dropping prices

Going to ask some Q's here in an attempt to determine the commonalities of which packages have the harness and which packages do not. These minor details end up being important to share when you're doing mods...

I'm guessing that you've found out that your truck does not have the factory harness either? If your truck does not have the volume knob harness...was there a connector on the back of your 14" unit that you ended up leaving empty?

I ask because I'm trying to determine what the volume knob harness would connect to. If it was as simple as connecting the volume knob module directly to an empty connector on the back of the 14" head unit, then one could (if one could source the connectors) make a short harness pretty easily..

If it does NOT connect directly to the head unit, then that means it connects somewhere else in order to communicate to the 14" head unit. Potentially connecting to a computer like the BCU. If THAT is the case, then it could turn out to be much more complicated of a thing. It potentially means that it's not just as simple as adding a wiring harness but might also requiring some programming too.

Most SRs & SR5s do not have the heated seats since that feature (at least in the US) requires you to have softex seats and the majority have cloth. I'm guessing, by you asking that question, that when you did your volume knob install the harness for the knob module was part of the same harness that plugged into your heated seat switch? (Because that would be an important detail no one has shared yet).

yeah I’m thinking the same. The volume knob harness is plugged into the black trim piece that has the hvac controls. Nothing to do with the stereo itself. Judging by the person that didn’t have the plugs, the only difference between my black trim piece and his is the heated seats. And yep I do have softex

there is still a empty slot in the head unit that isn’t used for my truck in which I’m guessing is for the additional cameras that my truck isn’t equipped with.

How much did were those? I got the eBay ones and ended up not using them because they’re just covers. Thought they would have the tilt features on them.

Tried the 361, non-JBL unit for my 23 Sequoia SR-5, and the cameras (back-up and 360 view) did not work. Everything else was working, but the cameras (when put in reverse or 360 view button) turned the whole display into solid green color. Tried, moving the connectors, no dice. :(

Fruitland….i know it’s not ideal but I wonder if that is camera voltage. I believe the tundra sets 12v down to 5.5-6volts…and I wonder if the Sequoia doesn’t.

just a thought. Unfortunately if it is sending a different video signal I don’t believe there is any way to change it in the 361 head unit.

Hey Guys, I was following Tig Welding Creations and notice he installed a 401 head unit. His video was complete, and since I can't seem to find 361, I jumped on Ebay and pulled the trigger on the 401. It arrived last night and I did a quick test fit and run prior to cutting the vents as stated in Tig's posting. The initial start was flawless, no issues to report. I was able to connect to blue tooth and run Spotify, backup camera worked, handsfree worked, Sirius was working too (all channels). I didn't try to register the unit for those of you who are gonna ask, and no, I didn't try the Navi either. I use google maps.

So pulled out the unit to fabricate and install the a/c vents. I will say there was one flaw in the instructions, but that was from someone else. The replacement bolts mentioned are short and you will need to purchase new ones, but not 4(qty) 6m 1.0 20mm. They are the same size as what was used for the old unit. Trust me it irritated me because I couldn't finish the install last night. This morning, I purchased 4 6m 1.25 20mm and spacers as recommended by Tig. Bob's your uncle. My vehicle does have wiring harness for radio knob with the wires going to a dummy/blank receptacle. So I'll be ordering that shortly.

Here is the weird part. I left all the protective film on until I finished bolting down the unit this morning, but when I took it off there was a half circle on the lower right of the unit. When I peeled it off, WTF! There was the JBL logo smacking me in the face. How could this be? I don't believe my previous system is a JBL system it isn't listed on the head unit. We just moved, so I'm looking for the windows sticker I kept, to confirm. I guess, I can grab the serial number off the old unit and check. I'll keep you all posted of my findings.

I'll grab so new pictures and attach them later. What do you all think about JBL working in my truck? The soon as I get confirmation my system is/is not a JBL system I'll posted it.
