I need receipts on that. I never bitch about mileage. Well, unless it's lack of getting it. I'm half tempted to drive my truck to work half the week to put miles on it.

Could've sworn you were complaining about MPGs last night. Had a chart and everything. 12mpg on one tank, 9mpg on another

Well, rear OEMs that were pretty worn at around 80k when I started building the truck, Toytec Boss 10" (possibly rebranded Eibachs?) which had decent valving, and those did me well and lasted a few years until they started to leak. Replaced them with Billy 5100s as a band-aid and absolutely hated the valving on them; took them off after one trip. Have been running 8" Fox 2.0s for awhile now, and they're doing the job.

Transfer case is a vestigial organ, of sorts, nothing to worry about ;). I was in a hurry to test out the camera before it started to get dark. Besides, I knew it was my tailgate... you was just guinea pigs, the final draft will be handed in by Monday.

Also, my boy is just brave enough to ride under the truck while in motion. I'll ask him!

Today is "Get off my ass and fix some little annoying shits that been on my list for entirely too fucking long" Day.

    First up are dash bulbs.

Already knocked out the blinking climate control LED on the 06 this morning. Replaced it with an incandescent for now. I didn't like how the green led made the cold/hot section look anyways. The others can remain green LED, so everything still matches. I almost put the green condom on he incandescent bulb, but didn't. Also installed the missing bolt to my head unit while in there.

Next is replacing a red LED behind the right side of gauges on the 03. I had a bunch leftover from the previous T100 and Tacomas, and I already tested the two im considering using. So now I just gotta make sure I know how to take apart the tundra dash properly. It's just a little different from the previous trucks, but similar. I just don't want to break any plastic bits.

I might remove the PO's CB/PA set up while I'm in there. Hell I might rip out the stupid Windows touch screen and install my Pioneer while in in there..
Hell maybe I should replace my. Tailgate handle and wire the backup camera while I'm at it.

Then I gotta install my replacement Desert Armor yellow LED pod.

Maybe the 5100's will show up before I run out of gas.

Ok apparently it's about 100% easier to get our tundra gauges removed than on my previous Toyota trucks haha

LOL! Honestly, that would make me the proudest papa to hear him say that.

He pretends to work on his tractor and fire truck sometimes... "Dad, I think it's the ball joints...Could be the axle... do you think it's in the front end?"

    :headbang: Raising him right.

Dash light fixed. The issue was there wasn't a bulb!

    CB deleted.

    Windows radio is out.
Pioneer radio is ready to go. Just have to wire the harnesses together.
But I did run into a weird issue. The mounting for the radio is holding me up, because the bolts from the previous radio won't fit the holes of the new one.
This radio was in my other truck before without issue. I've never had a problem with this part before. Any advice?

Pics of said bolt holes. Like the side of the radio where the brackets mount, the bolts don’t have the same thread size? Or the holes are in the wrong location?

The one that's been in my 06 already, then back into my parts pile for a different Pioneer. I been planning to put it in my 03 for a couple years... No big deal.

Different size thread on the holes. The bolts I have won't even start. I might have to remove my 06's Pioneer and pull one of its bolts then run to the hardware store. The shitty thing is I was already in that trucks dash this morning!
