Misfire

    2004 Tundra dc limited.
    Just installed a timing belt / water pump kit in my 04 tundra 4.7. Now it has a rough low RPM idle but runs good all out. Checked the codes and it shows 0300 302 304-306-308. It actually shows 2,4,68 twice for a total of 9 codes. I know the marks on the belt and the two of them cams lined up but the lower cam I am not too sure of. Is there anything else that could be going on besides the timing belt being installed wrong that I could check before I tear it down again? Any help would be appreciated.

    Crankshaft position sensor. Unfortunately you need to tear it down. Sounds like the crankshaft might have been off the marks. I wouldn't go replacing anything else until you're 100% sure it's timed correctly.

    Don't get me wrong, the plugs idea is also good, but given the recent belt replacement, I think you probably were off a tooth on timing and you need to resolve that situation ASAP before you go driving it around. It won't be the coil packs, it's rare for a single pack to go wrong, if you're getting multi-misfire, it's not gonna be the coil packs.

    Confirm the timing is good. Re-check. And make sure the crankshaft position sensor wire got routed behind the water pump properly so it doesn't get rubbed through by a belt/pulley.

    When you replaced the timing belt, did you also replace the tensioner and water pump?

    I did replace the water pump and tensioner. I have started tearing it down. I am sure that I did not get everything lined up correctly. So what I need to know now is, what needs to be torn down to be able to get to the timing belt? All info I can find involves the water pump replacement. And once i do get to reinstalling the timing belt, how do i get everything in the correct place?

    Sooooo... Did you or did you not do the timing belt replacement? Asking what needs to be torn down seems odd. If you did it once, you should know. There's no short cuts. Anyway, the short answer is you've got to take the timing belt off to reset the crankshaft and the camshafts.
