Just curious to see if anyone that received fuel line fix noticed better mpg? Notice that it seems like I’m getting better mpg or wondering if something is wrong with my gas gauge.

Did you also have the Electron Parking Brake ECU Service Campaign 23TC06 reprogrammed also at the same time? Getting ready to have both done this Friday and was wondering if that reprogram will help with maybe a dragging parking brake that is killing mileage.

    Hey teab
I took mine in to have both ECU and Fire risk done at the same time. They did the ECO but said I need to have less than 1/4 tank of gas in my truck before they could do the fire risk fuel line fix. It say nothing about that in the paper work Toyota sent me and no one bothered to tell me when I made the appointment for service.

Great. A dragging brake in the area of a fuel leak.

My dealership told me the same thing that I needed to be less than a 1/4 tank or less as well. Think I remember a lot of people in the TSB thread about the fuel line state the same thing about the 1/4 tank.

Wonder if that reprogram may have corrected something like a sticking parking brake or maybe or a slight drag. I'll report back after my appointment this Friday to see if I see an increase in fuel mileage as well. When I'm not in stop and go traffic I can usually get in the 17 to 20 mpg range right now, but around town in stop and go I am around 14-15 mpg. Its just a hunch right now that the reprogram will help with mileage, we will have to see if others report the same.

Also remember people saying their dealership stating they didn't have a means of storing the fuel once removed (probably a bold face lie like usual at the old stealership). Guess those dealerships don't' get a gold star from corporate, and I'm sure nothing will happen to dealership for turning people away. Wasn't disagreeing Ryan and fully understand it is a recommendation .....just stating it seems to be a common request from dealers when you schedule that recall. Who knows maybe the dealership didn't actually order the parts for the fix and that is the real reason it wasn't done that day. I know I had to call to tell them to order the parts after making my appointment.
