Great night out at my uncle's ranch. Weather was perfect. Steaks, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, and dessert was bourbon and a cigar.

    Hi  @GODZILLA ..

You drove "Large car" and never noticed outrageous tire pricing , even company drivers need new rubber...... I would LOVE to only pay $1900 for

a full set..:yay:Michelin steer tires start @ $766 before install & tax man.... do that times 18 :quickdraw:

I never had to pay for the tires on a CDL vehicle. Company did that without me worrying. I never did the over the road thing or paid by the mile bit. Company expenses don't concern me. I worry about what comes out of my pocket, and the most I ever paid for tires was on my Ram for KO2s and that was 1200 bucks. I did not like doing it either.

Tires last half as long and are just as expensive as car tires. You don't save much money riding a bike. It's a well circulated myth. LOL

Front tire I'd get is $198.06 plus tax. Rear is 275.68 plus tax. That is just to get them shipped to me. Then there's mount and balance. If you're lucky you'll get 12K miles on a rear and a little more on a front.

Yup. Nobody does and that's why there is this myth that a bike is cheaper to run that a car. LOL

definitely DIY so fluids and filter. Cheap there, but many bikes have 1500-3000 mile intervals. Mine is considered high at like 8000, but I plan to do it at 5000.

Ok. I was gonna say that my dad "went to the dark side" and put a car tire on the back of VTX 1800. It rides pretty well, and he gets a LOT of miles per tire!

Cruisers are less impacted by going dark side because the long wheel base limits their flickability. On something more agile you'd feel it more, but I also don't know if anything would fit mine.

    :(
I got rid of it years ago. I'll get another one day. But right now, it'd just sit in the garage and get ridden a couple times a year since I drop off and pick up my kids daily. Only so many I can fit on it.
It was fun tho. 2003. 6+ stretch with full yoshi exhaust. It was fast. Guy before me drag raced it a few times. I have too....unofficially:cool:

I told my dad I just want the bikes in his will. He had a Honda Goldwing as well. But he sold it. I'm starting to think he won't leaving me anything but to handle his finances once they pass. I'll take the VTX tho if I can. If he ever decides to sell it, I'm going to try to buy it.
My back is too shitty for crotch rocket bikes now.
I've done a 10 hour day on the gsxr before tho. My chode n ass was sore as a MF

Yeah, I'm too fat for a crotch rocket and don't like the feet back position. Just like on a cruiser, leaning messes with my head. Didn't care for it on my VTX1300 and thought a bike was not for me.

The upright position of an adv bike fits me, though.

Anyone who upgraded their steering wheel trim pieces to Meso or AJT, do you still have your stock ones and would you be willing to part with them for reasonable compensation? I'm kicking around an idea that I think I'll have a 50-50 chance of success with, so I don't want to screw up my only set that is on my truck

Here's what mine look like. So I need trim pieces that have the same openings.

We’ll, worker’s compensation does not move fast, but I finally have a date to go under the knife. I’ll be getting the shoulder fixed on 3/6. It’s going to feel good to be able to move the arm again (after rehab of course)
