A friend of mine is trying to purchase a new 2024 Platinum with the load leveling + AVS option (just like my 2022) and cannot find one anywhere in the country. Also checked with a huge multi-location national Toyota dealer who doesn't have any allocations anywhere in the county anytime for the next 30 days.

Does anyone know if or why Toyota is not producing any Platinums with the load leveling and AVS?

Indeed. It's he's got the destination dealership, basically. Take the trip, have a good time, leave with the Toyota you always wanted. 10/10 would do it again.

Set up a PO box in Montana and bypass the Cali-stupidity. It's so silly. If I moved to CA it's not like they can tell me I can't drive my Wyoming truck there.

Yes, but you can't register a non-cali truck without all the emissions testing and fees for it not passing....

Yeah, I was just asked to stop sending Cali references since it really doesn't end up benefitting either party. He can't give them a deal that works enough for the buyer to cover the fees and he can't eat the cost while providing a cost that makes sense. But any other state, he should be able to give your current offers a run for their money.

Toyota of Greensburg currently lists two with AVS/Air. One is Platinum and the other a 1794. There's no mention of availability though.

My suggestion is to use toyota.com, inventory serrch tool.

    1) put in your local zip code
    2) expand your search by selection to 500 miles radius
    3) select "Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension" under package. This package comes with air bags and AVS for Platinum and 1794.

Please note: toyota.com website inventory search may be bit diffeent because different region.

for West coast region: there is
    ADVANCED PACKAGE $1,645*
Advanced Package—includes Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension, Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), and 10-in. color Head-Up Display (HUD)

The “availability” is part of the filter options. I didn’t realize that back when I posted a couple weeks ago, but I noticed this morning that trucks with AVS/Air are in stock.

I am curious about the OP. Did the friend find a truck?

I've also been keeping an eye on inventory within 500 miles of me (Detroit, MI) for a Limited with the rear load leveling and never actually found one. Ended up buying a used 23 with it personally. Seems like a fairly rare option.

Yes! I am that friend, and we were able to work with a dealer in the Northeast region to find a perfect match. 2024 Platinum, Black, with power running boards/bed step, HUD, and rear air suspension. She is to be delivered to the dealer in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for your and others helpful comments with this post.

I just scoured the latest allocations sheet that @ryanwgregg posted and was surprised to see that there are only 2 Platinum trucks and 2 capstone in the entire US that have AVS option.

There are a bunch of 1794 and Platinum that have rear load leveling air suspension, but none of them have AVS.

Any idea why trucks with AVS option aren't really being produced?

Air suspension (raise and lower) is in the limited and sr5, the AVS (adjustable shocks) (raise and lower) is only in platinum, 1794, and cap

Yes that's what I thought, but I got confused that in the Allocation sheet 4 of the trucks (plats and 1794) specifically had AVS mentioned, and others did not, so I thought they changed something for 2024.

    Thank you for clarifying!

I tried real hard to find a Tundra with AVS to compare directly to TRD suspension. I couldn’t find one. Dealer searched out 1000 miles looking. I gave up, liked the TRD suspension in my new platinum and bought it.

On Toyota inventory website search, the "Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension" means air bag for load-leveling + AVS. It is two separate options. This options is only available on higher trims, Platinium, 1794 and Capstone. So, your search result is correct.

Air bags options comes on lower trims such as Limited, SR5.

    AVS is only higher trims.
