I spent a year in Scotland. The pub names I remember are the the Crag Dhu, The Three Heided man and the Hairy Coo. Locals for me in Paisley and Glasgow.

If anyone has an older Mini DV recorder/player they are interested in getting rid of, please let me know.

Just for reference this is for the small video cassette tapes that look like VHS tapes (but smaller). They were popular w/older camcorders...

I came across a few cassettes that I believe have some old training footage on, but my old video recorder no longer works. I just want to verify whats on the tapes and transfer them via USB to my laptop, if they are of value, prior to throwing everything away.

Haven't heard of James Sallis. Andy Weir wrote The Martian right? I like his writing.

I've read some Baldacci, The Woman likes his stuff alot. The Jack Reacher books are fun reads, so are Ian Fleming's books.

I read War and Peace in high school. It was a slog.


I'm also currently listening to The Fellowship of the Ring on my commute.

 

As for Drive by James Sallis, I hope you've seen this.



Yeah, Andy Weir wrote The Martian.

I liked Anna Karenina and I've read all the Dostoevsky I can find so War and Peace seems like a sensible next step.

 

Audio books was a major driver behind my getting the Shokz headphones for when I'm walking the park. 90 minutes at a go gets boring. Carr is one author whose books I'm hoping to burn through as I'm walking.

 

Do you like fantasy books at all?

 

I have seen that. It's a great movie.
