That's an excuse for not having and evidence to back your claim. Just saying...

Why are we still arguing over a piece of bent 1” rod that’s powder coated red?

apparently sway bars are highly contestable. Grab some popcorn.

This is like just that unranked college ball team giving a top 10 seated team a run for their money. :bananadance:

Because so people think a TRD sticker is worth hundreds of extra dollars.

I don't recall making any claims. I did opine on the matter, though, that I'm happy spending an extra $70 for the OEM part, and that my contentfullness with previous experiences in purchasing knockoff goods amounts to a jar full of mouse farts. Or something like that. I'm paraphrasing, of course. Just sayin... again... :D

And I really don't care one way or another what somebody else decides to buy. I was pointing out the logically fallacy presented by demanding evidence of failure as the only proof that two items are dissimilar, then claiming the non-failure as factual proof that two things ARE indeed similar. Or whatever it is that's being debated on this thread. I'm still not clear. Which is hilarious to me. And more hilarious that people are upset about having more than one option. Reminds me of my kids fighting over which shovel to use to scoop up dog poo.

Either way, it is as if I claim that I AM INVINCIBLE and, as proof, I present to you the fact that I have not died. My heart has not failed, by nervous system still works, I can walk and talk and poke people with sharp, pointy, stick-shaped words from across the internet. I am a real, live person (unlike @ColoradoTJ , whom we have just confirmed is AI due to several preponderously peculiar circumstances recently, including counting a six pack as six single one packs... WHO DOES THAT?? It's ONE six pack. Just like I only ate ONE box of HoHo's. Or I only bought ONE new suspension for my truck. Or I only have ONE safe/hidden room/basement of pewpews (that I only paid ONE stack of dollars for..). Or that box full of stuff only cost me ONE month's salary. geez.. Sorry. Rant over.). The only proof that I would accept that I am NOT invincible is if I am dead. Otherwise, you have no proof that I am NOT invincible and all the "facts" (that fact that I am currently alive) point to me actually being invincible.

    Kinda not very logical...

    :duh:

I’m going to tell the seller of the cheaper bar to include a package of TRD stickers so that way no one will be able to tell.

    Do it :)

But to avoid copyright infringement, suggest they rearrange the letters.. something like, RTD should save them a call from a lawyer :D

Someone would probably complain that the stickers were not cut from genuine TRD vinyl.

Got mine installed last night. Haven't driven with it yet, but a few notes on the install. Like others have said it did not come with grease for the bushings. I had one of those caliper pin grease packs from autozone lying around and used that since it was silicone based. I also had to buy different lock washers. One of the lock washers supplied popped open when tightening the nut. Looking at the Amazon reviews it seems like I'm not the only one. I suspect the lock washers they supply are slightly too large. I got some grade 8 1/2" from lowes and they worked great. Not sure why they didn't just supply lock nuts for that part like the lower link uses. I'm going to drive it like this for a while and if those loose up I will probably replace them with lock nuts.

    Self-Quote (above).

Said I'd report back... and so far, no hassles.

Matter of fact, it's been less than #48 hours and I just received an email from Amazon with a PCI (sic: PIC) attached...

Any votes for an un-boxing thread when I get home tonight? (JK - I won't do it.)

Came in mid day, installed in the afternoon. Took about an hour or so. Definitely not hollow and heavy solid bar. Packaging not as nice as the Amazon one but no damage or missing hardware.

Towed the sxs a 100 miles round trip through some curvy roads and it was much more stable even with a healthy side wind.

That how mine came but I didn't even have the plastic wrap on it. Mine is also kind of pinky/red. I don't care because it's going to be painted black.

Yup it's red. The florescent lighting was making it look pinkish.

    :)

I can gesture that without apology because I also unboxed mine today and installed it. Something else I noted... there were no instructions included! (Must be why I saved $0.12)

:annoyed: Upon opening the box, the parts were so pink! I was quite tempted to return it.
For the most it's the hazy plastic causing the illusion although I'm a bit concerned about long term UV exposure washing out what red is.
My sport drink, Harbor Freight limb shredder and CostCo log splitter are tool red. This has an acid washed jeans appeal and it took longer to decide to go for it than to complete the task...

Found a short (15 minute) install video on uby-tuby to confirm (at the 12 min mark) part orientation is 'up', the bumper bolts to pull and replace are fore, and versus where Chris Lopez bolted the port bracket around the axle housing, I opted for outside the welded bracket which holds the wheel rotation sensor wire. (We both still have stock Bilstein shocks. I forgot about grease, although I have a bunch left over from various Energy Suspension installs over the years. Will add that... eventually... if it squeaks once.)

All told, it took about an hour to complete the install with my brother handing me a wrench or two 'cause he happened nearby...

    As an aside:
His project for the day was setting up his new adventure gadget for the first time, OneTigris Solo Homestead TC Canvas Hot Tent with Stove Jack. (He already had the stove)
Two would be cramped inside with the stove. With a short-legged cot, it'll be great for one. He is testing it out while I write this tonight. I'll likely get one for myself eventually. I like it!

Yes, that's me and my beverage of choice in the photo. There does seem to be a difference: Driving feels more truck-like. I can't express it better.
