I'm trying to find the compatibility of Land Cruiser components with Tundra components. Specifically, I want to know if there is compatibility between the suspension, axles, steering knuckle, and so on. Does anyone know where I could find this information? It is difficult to simply "google" this. I'd appreciate any direction here.

Check out the ih8mud forum. Do some searching in the 300 series section.

Both vehicles are based on the same platform; they share lots of parts.

I’m using the LC intermediate shaft in my front diff, so the front diff parts are interchangeable.

They share much design architecture and some parts… though Toyota occasionally changes things slightly which prevents a straight swap. What are you looking to do?

I was talking with Werewolf Tech (they make portals) about their products. They don't have anything for Tundras but do have products for the LC200, which they suggested might fit on the Tundras. I tried looking up part numbers and diagrams on partsouq.com and it seems the two platforms don't quite match up - brakes, lower arms, hubs, axle shafts, etc. They then said that the LC300 is more compatible with the 3rd Gen Tundras. It does appear so, but again I would need confirmation before moving forward with such a large expense/project.

(I'm not going to digress into why I want portals.)

What year is your Tundra and what year is the LC?

Yes, the Land Cruiser 300 Series does share parts with the 3rd Gen Tundra. The LC 200 Series shares with the 2007 - 2021 2 and 2.5 Gen Tundra.

If 74Welds starts making portals for our trucks, then I'm going to start saving up.

Same. I contacted them about interest in Tundras but haven't heard back. Maybe if enough of us reach out to them, they'll consider it.

    Update:

I searched a website called partsouq.com and found that the +2022 Tundras are compatible with the LC300 series.

Here is the Tundra rear axle housing assembly. Here is the LC300 same parts. The are almost identical.

Here is the Tundra front steering knuckle. Here is the LC300 front steering knuckle.

Part numbers across platforms often are the same, but the diagrams themselves show the parts' similarities.

Werewolf said that they're willing/able to make portals for the LC300. So, it seems they would work on the +2022 Tundras as well.

    Also,
Werewolf already has portals for the LC200 which would work with 2nd Gen Tundras (I think).

I've known about Werewolf's portal but would rather go with 74Weld :oldglory:

Btw, was just talking with them on Insta, and they confirmed that portals for the Tundras are in development. They're at KOH right now and will get back to developing them afterward. Super pumped!

Mine is for sale. I used it for photography and product display. Thought I was finished until I learned 74 Weld is making portals. We'll see.
