That’s not a bad idea…however, the opposite-side-of-the-road stuff is intimidating. Plus, for as much of a “I will drive” control freak as I am, I enjoy not dicking with it when I travel.

When my buddy and I were in Edinburgh, we hit up the oldest pub on the Royal Mile in the middle of the day. I think we were the only ones in there.

It's absolutely gorgeous. Easy to control the adrenaline junkie; just get a less rowdy bike to do it on. The CB500X or the new NX500 that is replacing it would handle that amazingly, and the fuel economy would make it affordable. I'd settle for just coming over there to see the castles and architecture and such. I happen to be mostly Irish, Scottish, and English... but I give zero shits about ancestry stuff. I'm weird apparently because I don't care about that stuff.

People talk about how they'd be all excited to find a sibling that was adopted or a cousin they never met... I'm like "I don't know them, Why TF would I care now?"

 

Edinburgh castle was amazing, did you make it up into the Highlands?

 

Yeah, we did. A small group of us a did a van tour with a local guide. He normally does the big coach tours for the old Asian tourists who just want to see gift shops and restaurants so he was really refreshed to have a group of young people who were up for an adventure. He departed from the usual route and, among other things, we set out to find a really nice waterfall that he knew about but wasn't exactly sure of the location.

 

That sounds like a helluva tour guide! Any pics you can share?

I limit myself to one a day and I buy them by the case when the Vitamin Shoppe is having a deal on them.

 

I enjoyed it. I don't drink alcohol anymore and this had a little bit of a tequila aftertaste to me (my drink of choice).

C4 has a Grape Popsicle flavor that isn't too bad. It's not heavy on the grape but is pretty enjoyable. The Gorilla Mind Lemon is supposed to taste like a 7-UP. I'll have to try that the next time I'm at the Vitamin Shoppe. That $1/can sale on Ghost might be worth driving in for. My preferred Vitamin Shoppe doesn't have a limit on how many you can buy when they are doing that.

 

Oh, hell yeah. Ghost's Orange Cream is the best. It's been getting hard to find around here. The Redcon1 Orange Cream is more like flavored seltzer water but it was buy one get one so I couldn't pass it up.

I hear you on the heritage stuff. I would love to know my lineage, but the whole finding ancestors and cousins 24-times removed is stupid.

Oh, I'm talking like an immediate family member that I didn't know about. I give zero effs. I could find out I was adopted, and I wouldn't care at all. Family isn't about blood, it's who is there and raised you. IDC what the genetics are beyond the medical application. Hell, even then I don't, because I don't go to the doctor unless I'm forced, or dying.

My kneejerk reaction to that statement was "jeez, act like 2015 was so long ago" but then I remember that it's almost a decade ago. Time flies.
