Couple of pics. I’ll upload the arm file to thingiverse in a bit when I sit down for work and add the link to this post.

Looks good, nice clean install, except that seems to obscure the view to the right front more than I would like. These Tundras are like my old Tacoma, with fairly small windshields that limit the view a good bit already.

IMG_2322.jpg It actually doesn’t from my seating perspective and I position the seat very low in the truck, but I’m also 6’ tall. It obscures the middle-right portion of the hood but not the road. The top of the SG3 unit ends at the nose of truck.

This is a fair representation of the perspective when I’m driving.

I am 6' 1" but long legs. I may mock up a piece of cardboard and tape it in place to see how it affects my view.

Same. 6’ and long legs, so it sit fairly far back from the dash.

Does that SC3 auto dim at night?

Not that I’m aware of, it’s my one and only complaint about the unit. There is a shortcut for adjustment though. Swipe 2 fingers up/down on the screen to raise/lower the brightness.

Damn, that's too bad. I am surprised they didn't include auto dim or auto switch to night mode. I think I'll stick with my SG2 for now.

Hey, one more question... does SG3 really report boost (I see you have that selected)? I tried to program my SG 2 for that and was unsuccessful. Even though the SG3 self-programs and finds the supported parameters is there maybe a way in the menus to find the associated x-gauge code? That I might could try in my SC2.

Yeah, especially considering I’m sure they can detect headlight status or some other indicator via the OBD connection. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me though as I do very little night driving.

Yes the SG3 does report boost. I also tried getting my SG2 to show boost and was unsuccessful. Can’t remember if I ever got the SG2 to show trans temps either.

I don’t think there’s a way for me to see the underlying x-codes on the SG3 but I’ll give it a look.

I did get the SG2 to report trans temp. That's one parameter I have up all the time. But there is only one, not separate temps for fluid and converter.

Yeah I only see the one on the SG3 as well (even though the PID is listed as Trans Temp 1). It appears the 3rd Gens only report the pan temp.

My conclusion, exactly. Meanwhile I have sent an inquiry to ScanGauge asking for the underlying SG3 code for boost.

Nice. Hopefully they get back to you. They are pretty good about that in my experience.
