The part #s, I can’t see fully. Is it for a specific door, just front doors, or all 4 doors?

Got it. I found a better image of the part #s on his channel. I don’t have a door rattle but wind noise seems to be getting louder at higher speeds. I just emailed my service manager to get me in.

So is it actually confirmed that these seals are better than the ones originally installed on the truck?

Is it a new better part number or they don't necessarily change part number when they make the part better quality?

Does anyone know if new current builds include this seal improvement?

Yes, I'm pretty sure they do. When I had my 2024 tinted last week, he commented on how hard it was to tuck the film behind the front door seals. He said he had never had that issue on all the other 3rd gens he'd tinted. FWIW.

I believe so. My 23 Tundra has a lot of wind noise. When we got the 23 Sequoia, it got held up for a couple of days while GST replaced the door seals. No wind noise in that one.

I installed the rubber seal this weekend to test and it eliminated my driver side wind noise. I definitely will be taking this to my dealer.

Well shit... Probably wait on a service call then. I've already gotten it documented that the noise is there. Not sure I want to go thru the hassle of a visit if they dont have a fix.

Anyone know if this wind noise seal issue is only a problem with the 2023's? I have a 2022 and I haven't noticed any serious wind nose at the seams. But sometimes you don't notice how loud it is until you ride into someone else's vehicle that's quieter.

You're talking about the door seal, right?

Jon had door/window rattle on his passenger door, and he said that was fixed. Did that comeback?

If the driver side door seal was replaced and became more noisy, that could mean the installer did a bad job or seal shifted somehow to allow air opening. I had my window runner replaced 4 times, and noise is acceptable now, and success of such replacement seems to be on which tech is doing the job or quality of the seal.

Do you have a link to the seal you used? I would rather glue something like that in then wait for Toyota.

The rattle that John videos is what I was calling wind noise. After installing the round seal the way Jon shows in his video that has disappeared. I'll post a video shortly

Wind noise / door rattle pre-weather strip install. You can hear a fluttering sound that matches what is in Jon's initial video.
    https://youtu.be/H65MS0ZI-B4

Post-weather strip install. No flutter. There is still some wind noise at higher speeds but nothing that i would consider excessive given the truck is not exactly aerodynamic.

After a week I can gradually hear the vibration returning. It looks like the weather strip, as it sits compressed, loses some of its elasticity so the pressure keeping the door from vibrating reduces enough for the vibration to return.

I have this issue as well.
Fixes include sever trips to the dealer where they’ve took the door car off, added felt, changed the door seal that runs along the inside of the window, adjusted the door forward and moved the striker in.

All was good for a couple to few months. Now it has returned when you’re on the highway, you hear a ticking, clicking. Some day days it is worse than others. Dealer added felt to the inside of the window run where you can see it behind the seal on the inside of the truck.

Contacted Toyota corporate again to see if they have a solution. I’m legit curious cause I really like this truck but the tick is driving me insane.

seems like every supplier manufactures use these days skimp a little on the material to save a bit. It’s a little disappointing since the price of things continually raise and the quality drops.

So if they supposedly still don't have a good supplier, and supposedly didn't identify bad batches of these parts..

Then why the 23 platinum I test drove was extremely quiet without any wind noise whatsoever and very quiet cabin in general

I have a 23 SR5. Was super happy when I drove it off the lot I did not have wind noise and I thought “people” were just being too picky.

Fast forward - right after I hit about 8,000 miles BAAMM…wind noise ✔️. My particular wind noise happens at almost exactly 40mph, not sub 40.

Kinda weird as 40mph is also when the FWD spoiler drops too

    Annoying AF.

Wind noise = high pitched whistling around driver window/mirror area…

Hoping Toyota comes out with a TSB to resolve this.

went to my friends Mercedes dealer to put the pro sway bar on and when he took it around the book just staring at it it seems the door alignment seems off to him. That along with other things he pointed out like the door seal being a bit flimsy.

Toyota created their own problems by choosing cheap grade plastic/rubber inside and out. I mean the plastics part of the truck looks like those of cheap Chinese made toys, now they "fixing" their own problems.

I installed in-channel window deflectors on my 2024 and am starting to wonder if that is the reason I have the wind noise that I have. Anyone else have in-channel deflectors that can chime in? Wondering if I should take mine out and get the ones that attach to the outside of the door.
